I have washed and dreid all filters and the machine is working well but the light is flickering red?
Hi, any thoughts on a fix to stop that square black filter at the back from falling off?
Hi Tom, The most likely cause of this is that the filter is due for replacement, it is recommended to replace these every 6-9 months. Please see the below link for the replacement filter set. external link Regards, The Hoover Team
Thanks, Godfrey G, I take your point. I still think a more definite way of fixing that filter into place would have been good - perhaps newer models already have that.
Hi Tom, The main reason these come off is when there is too much air pressure behind the filter which occurs when the filter is due/overdue for replacement. Regards, The Hoover Team
Just wondering if I can buy a new dust canister for his model vacuum cleaner? Seen it’s discontinued but have broke the clip that seals the canister so looking to buy a replacement as it’s a great vacuum cleaner

When should lights on cleaning head be used?
When ever you are vacuuming under a dark area eg .low furniture table chairs etc.....
Why does red light come on?
hi there , the reason why the red light comes on is the filter pad maybe clogged with dust , you can bang out the dust with your hand into a plastic bag or brush it out with a hand brush and check that there is nothing clogged in the unit it self , and check power head if nothing is clogged there as well .
good luck.
Can I get the back piece that keeps filter in place?
Yes you can godfreys sell spare parts
Thanks Carolyn E
The turbohead now makes a really annoying and loud squealing noise when in use. What does this indicate?
Sorry Barb, I'm not quite sure as I haven't had this experience. Is there debris in there that's preventing the turbohead from spinning? That's my only idea. Good luck.
Have checked for blockages and sorted all the filters. My guess is that air is escaping somehow but can't figure out where. Otherwise machine runs okay except turbo head cuts out when at full extension. Can't run it under the sofa anymore.
Have you been able to pull it apart and get all the hair fluff etc out of the little axles it spins on? I find I have to do this a lot with this model - much more than my old Dyson. But bendablnormally a squealing indicates a blockage.
I would take it into godfreys and let them look and hear it it might need a service
