Hume Bank Questions & Answers
They have reduced their staff ratios and their original bank in Lavington was always full and staff at least 7 or more were mature, polite and experienced, they now have 2 or 3 at each branch, staff generally much younger and the turn over is very high - even in their own admissions and they now longer attain the salary and conditions that support mature staff and for obvious reasons, their profits have continued to grow into the billions...they also admit they are often to busy to give proper advice or not adequately trained, despite all the regulations around maintaining a financial services license. They feel that it is now up to the customer to read up all the PDFs as the staff cannot be expected to answer these questions about fees, terms and conditions, is the case with all banks....
...that could explain why we can't get Hume Clear credit cards even though our combined income last year was more than $500K. It was much easier to apply for and be granted a $400k home loan from another bank (go Bendigo!)
