Hi Y'all, is this page still live? I have one of these mowers, it's been given to me, in brand new condition. It won't develop any power, any work at all it just dies. I tried it on low grass, just dies, doesn't develop any torque, barely seems to rev at all... Is this some kind of 'smog' set up? An eco mower, down tune it for the environment, save the polar bears...? Is there anything that can be done to these mowers to bring the revs up> I look down the intake, and there's some kind of plenum in there, can this be taken out? Is there a Governor? I'm reluctant to take it to the moa shop, they charge an arm and a leg and will fix/service when not required. I'm really reluctant to go in blind and be at their mercy, would rather pawn it and buy something that can do the job? Has anybody experience with these ohv B&S engines, can you make them work???

Why are you not satisfied Rodney? I have issues with a simple lack of power after using other mowers over many years. This is dissapointing given that this isn't a cheap mower. It was checked out thoroughly and seems all ok, nothing obvious wrong with it...

Mower is very hard to start, think it maybe spark plug but how do you get it out. Taken it into dealer three times. Starts well after they play with it but a week later hopeless. What can I do to improve starting?

Hi there Bruce Mate - Starting has never been an issue for me, so I am unsure how to answer your question. Is the place you brought the Mower from a Licensed Dealer ? The Dealer in Petrie here is very good on the northside. Perhaps a phone call to them would help.

Just one thing, there is the little pump under the housing, do you do that around 5 times before starting ?

How do I remove the blades?

I get mower shop to do that tipping a mower on it's side to replace blades in not recommended.

Thank you for the reason you gave. That was a good one! But my concern is that I don't seem to be able to get the bolts to release with reasonable force and am frightened to break something.!

I have a LC18 given by friend.After filling tank with petrol few minutes later U see petrol dripping from exhaust area hence draining tank.Anyone know whats happening as I cant buy another one & it looks like new? Thx in advance
