They do but the water goes through the filter a lot faster so do not know if they do such a good job!

What the Kmart filter orthe Britta one? I thought the Kmart one the water run through a lot faster.

It says on box - reduces elements that maybe in water including aluminum, chlorine, lead, cadmium, copper, zinc and pesticides but no mention of fluoride! This is also what the info on the cartridges for the Brita jug says and neither mention fluoride.

Thanks Mari, I read english. I'm also versed as far as understanding fluride as a pesticide. I'd appreciate a response from someone with comprehension without uncomprehendable overzealousness.

Hi Chris, thanks for getting in touch. Our water jug with filter reduces elements that may be in water, such as aluminium, copper, and pesticides, however unfortunately we're unable to confirm if this also includes fluoride. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused!

An everyday filter is not able to remove fluoride. I've been told that to do that it would require a much higher grade filter than a filter jug that can put the water through a process called reverse osmosis.

I have been told that the only water filter that filters out fluoride is a reverse osmosis filter. These filters remove pretty much everything from the water including beneficial minerals so I wouldn’t like to have one. This Kmart filter will not remove fluoride.

You should not try to filter fluoride which is beneficial to dental health. We had fluoridated water while kids were growing up and they required mo fillings

you can get a box of 3 filters from Kmart for $14, a quick search of their website would've answered that Q. I've bought them & they're great.
