Hello just wondering if the anko af701 air fryer has a Teflon coating?
With my earlier model, I am not sure that it is Teflon or like a baked enamel? I have found that after hundreds of washes, the basket coating does come off in spots but that would be expected to me. It is still fine to use, does not affect its performance and still easy to wash in the washing up water.

I'm afraid it's worthless. You're stuck with the smell even if it did work, and the internal fan is now short-circuiting, tripping the circuit breaker. Throw it in the bin, and buy a better one (like I should have done). I hope the manufacturer is reading this!

Thank you very much for responding, Kmart. However, as it was out of warranty and STILL had the plastic smell, I threw it out. Even my philistine favourite (potato gems) cooked in it had the flavour of plastic - most unhealthy even if the cooking method wasn't. You need to contact Anko and get them to sort this out!

Not exactly sure is its Teflon but has like a baked enamel fish and is easily cleaned when new..coating comes off basket after many washes where I use steel scrub but still easy to clean after a bit of a soak..I clean after every use though better than cleaning a 900 mm oven by a long way.

I purchased the Ancho 3.75lt air fryer yesterday. How on earth do I separate the basket from the base to do the recommended initial clean prior to use. I have followed the instructions. Looks as though I am returning it after 24 hours.
Should be a slide between handle and basket push in or out forgot they then come apart for cleaning or check the manual

I have an Anko AF606 air fryer and the Teflon coating on the basket has come off. It is out of warranty now. Love the air fryer and would like a replacement basket the rest of the fryer is okay where can Zi get a new one from

Hi there, I purchased an Anko 3.2L air fryer a year ago and I’ve noticed each time I clean it the black paint is slowly come off the basket part aswell as the bottom part of the body. I soak it for 15 minutes before using a Micro-soft Non scratch brush. Is the Air Fryer still safe to use.
