Morning Tracy, they did the same to me. The only way to stop the payments from coming out is to contact your bank. My bank was really good and new all about the scam. They cancelled my card, and reissued a new on within 5 days. They also refunded my money that I did NOT authorise, but this took approx. 6 weeks, but I did get it all back. Good luck, Jacqui

Hi Tracy, the only way to stop it is to cancel your card, talk to your bank about the unauthorised removal of money from your account. I got most of my money back but not all.

Hello I've just discovered that I've been charged twice for this. I understood the first one was a free trial and did not sign up for product and being charged on an ongoing basis. My bank says I have to cancel my card... totally inconvenient as I have lots of other direct debits I want to continue and will now have to change everything.

Gerry M.
Gerry M.

I called AU +61 800891350 and was told I had signed up for an ongoing purchase as I didn't call and cancel within 21 days. I said I didn't want the product and was happy to send back the second jar. They wouldn't take it back and instead offered me a 50% refund on my second bottle and said they have cancelled my account. It will take 5-7 days to get the refund. Not ideal as I don't want the product but better for me than spending my time reinstating all of my existing (intentional) direct debits if I had to cancel my credit card. I'll be watching out for that refund!

I don't know.....it does nothing any other cream will do. Its all lies about its miracle benefits. It has done nothing to my skin. It is nothing but a scam.

How do I get in touch with these scammers to stop money being taken out of my bank?

unhappy Jacqui

Hi Rhonda, I had to contact my bank, and they cancelled my card straight away. They know all about this scam, new card took 4 days to arrive, and they said reimbursement would take approx. 45 days.

Best thing to do is ring the bank and cancel your card.

Does anyone else find something wrong with this? "To ensure you do not run out of L'Avere Cream, starting in 45 days from your original order date of the introductory 21-day Trial Offer, and every 30 days thereafter, you will receive 1 new bottle (30-day supply). The credit card you provide today will be billed the Member's Only discounted price of only A$139.90 (plus a small A$145.85 shipping and handling fee). As a member of our L'Avere Cream Lifestyles Program, you are not obligated to continue. No hassles, no commitments. Cancel at any time!! Just contact customer service should you have any questions." When I called their Support number, they confirmed that the price was A$139.90 + plus a small A$145.85 shipping and handling fee (Total A$285.75) charged to your credit card every 30 days. (I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking it might have been a typo, but the gal I was speaking with insisted that is the way it is.)

I have emailed and tried to call. No luck! Based on the advice above, Do I need to cancel the order via my credit card? Or cancel my entire credit card??? They are now double charging me for things and I am still trying to stop the order - that was just a trial!!!

Does anyone have a recent email address ? A new number ?

How do i stop this company sending stuff I do not want

Blue

Make sure there are no amounts debited to your credit card by cancelling your credit card and write. an email to them to stop your order. If they can't read their own emails and keep sending then have a talk with the post office. I can't think of anything else you can do..

Hi is there any contact information for New Zealand. They have taken money from me under the name of “Feel more confident N” $134.90 and “Improve Self Now” $139.90. I have contact for them at all.

It's the same 1800 number worldwide but it's useless trying to call. The call centre is located in the USA and represent over 500 online companies. The ladies give a good "I'm sorry Ma'am, we can't seem to locate your account ". The only way to deal with this company is to cancel your credit card and lodge a complaint with your bank; perhaps they will refund something. Even after I did this, the company continue to try and SCAM me. I'll look for the number and send via another reply.

I was scammed too!! I'm a first time purchaser of face cream online and thought i had paid only $5.95 for a trial product, they proceeded to take a further $557 from my account. I am a single mum on a part time wage, renting, with minimal savings, I felt so devastated when I found out how much money they took from me. It's really not ok. This company needs to be brought to justice. Who has the funds to take them on tho, I guess that's all part of their plan. So dissapointing that humans feel ok to do this to each other :(

Hi there, I went to the Laverla website got their phone number, rang them and demanded all my money back and not to send any more products as I only wanted the trial pack. I received my money back in 3 days. Be tough with them. Ph AU 1300009417

Diane thank you!! I’ve long binned the delivery docket and could not find any info on these mongrels nor a website.. thank you for the number!

Karen G.

Yes thanks Diane for the number, yes , yet another person scammed, called the number and someone actually answered, an American guy with a Portrican accent, l think, said he was in California. Told me the Terms and conditions said about stopping the product within 18 days if you didn’t want it but as far as I could tell I didn’t see anything about this as such, I understood I was paying $6.12 for postage to trial the product and only did it because it was put across that it was going to be a company Lisa Wilkinson was starting and I thought oh good an Australian company, hope she sues the pants off them for using her name. No trial arrived but 2 full sized products arrived I asked him to stop the order in which he kept asking me questions if I tried and liked the product and offering 50 percent then 75 percent discount on my next order so I demanded that he stop it immediately. After reading the reviews I thought, no that’s not good enough so I called them back and got someone else, complained harder and he refunded me 50 percent but that was with a lot of bargaining to explain about how I understood it was for a trial pack not to buy the actual full sized products which there was no mention of,am cancelling my credit card after the 10 days he says it will take to refund........or maybe cut my losses and do it now!

This is such a big scam, using ‘celebrities’ and so on so WHY hasnt the media picked this up and run with it? For all we know other women are being scammed still.

How do I stop delivery

Tanja

Lodge a dispute with your credit card company they will cancel and reissue your card. They will investigate the charges. My credit card company investigated for a week issued me a new card and reversed all the charges. Then you email the company on the delivery docket and tell them you’ve reported them to the fraud department at your credit card and they stop sending the product.

I wrote them an EXTREMELY fierce email. They’d sent me an unsatisfactory reply after my first email, asking me to ring one of their call centre people and I replied again saying ‘don’t make me dump this on some poor lowly paid worker in the Phillipines, DO YOUR JOB’ Next day, all ‘orders’ cancelled, though I never MADE any orders to start with. Email the sods.

I received this product. No invoice. Just despatch note. No contractual schedule. No contact phone or email. I want to return it. No sales transparency. Even if the cream works, their tactics are questionable. How do i stop this?

Tanja
Tanja

I called my credit card company who put a stop to any further debits by cancelling and reissuing my credit card. They investigated the debits and found in my favour and credited my account with all the losses. I also wrote to the company by email which is located on the despatch notice that comes with the products. I received an email a few days later saying they would cease further action but made no mention of apology or reason for direct debiting my card without permission regularly! Call your credit card company and dispute the transactions now Tina.

Tina
Tina

Thanks so much. I took your advice instantly, rang my bank and my new credit card is in the mail. There was no email address on my dispatch note just a website, but that site was for temporary users so no luck there. Eventually I ended up with a contact number for them and realise now, that their customer number #080 944 9741 is our New Zealand free call number ... but over the past week ive called several times a day at various times even at 2 in the morning and the recording always says "You have called outside of business hours ..." I will never fall for this kind of scam again but to keep things legal I'm still trying to return the cream. Thanks again.

Jan F.
Jan F.

I received the cream and dispatch note. No phone number or contact details. I checked my emails and found one from them stating the free trial cream is on it's way via Australia Post. I clicked 'Reply' and told them I am cancelling 'the trial' and that I will not deal with this disreputable company. They replied stating 'cancellation notice received, thank you'. They didn't ask me to return the product....I wouldn't have done anyway...and yes, it's cheap moisturiser....wouldn't be worth a dollar! I checked my bank statements and found the one withdrawal $5.95 (lucky there) and cancelled my card before they could make any further withdrawals.
