Purchased June 2024 and have just assembled the heater according to the instructions but it is very unstable. It is being floor mounted rather than wall mounted. There are 4 x 18mm screws which attach the plastic oval mount to the heater body and 4 x 16mm screws which attach the glass base to the other side of the oval mount. I have rechecked the assembly instructions in the manual many times and this appears correct yet the weight of the heater allows it to bend back and forth precariously. Surely this is not right?!?
I noticed many reviews of this heater 'exploding'? However, these complaints are from 2 or more years ago and it would appear the heaters were removed from sale but have now returned to Aldi stores once again. Does this mean the fault causing the 'explosion' has been rectified?
Just bought this heater from Aldi June 2024 After reading reviews I’m scared to turn it on! Is it safe please I know I can take it back but I bought it because it’s exactly what I been looking for Is it still exploding??? Miriam Dowson Perth W A
I bought mine a week ago and I love it. I only use it during the day on heat because I have solar panels at night I just use the flame effect no heat and it's lovely. Only thing I'm concerned about is the led light control that shows up on the glass screen turns off after a while but it leaves a definite rectsngle black square on the glass which looks strange. Other than that i really like this
I just brought one but not sure how to use only flame effect which buttons ?
Hi - I"ve just purchased this heater and now I am concerned about the safety issues raised. Do I just return it to the store with the receipt or can you reassure me that this model is safe; AMBIANO flame effect heater. Thank you!
Hopefully it is ok mine exploded.
Mine exploded and it wasn’t even turned on . Maybe some sort of chemical reaction I don’t know. I would never buy another .This was about 5 years ago . Came home and fragmented pieces of front of heater were everywhere like it had exploded

Sorry I’m not sure Pam but I would never buy one again . Mine exploded while I wasn’t home and it wasn’t turned on at the wall . It seemed to have some sort of chemical compound reaction or something. There was such a mess from glass exploding and rocks from the heater everywhere on the floor and the surrounding of the heater just crumbled. I googled and found others who had similar issues with the same happening to their heater . When this happened there was no one else home . It was quite disturbing to find when arriving home .
My heater turns itself on & off with no reason? I do not set the timer just turn it on and off with the remote. Why does it do this
Sounds as though there is an electrical problem within the heater. If it's still in warrantee, return it.
This heater is back on sale 7 May 2022! Prior to that sale date, please advise what is the brand name of product and what has been changed, if anything from the previous 2 Discontinued models? Or is it the same as 2021 version? (817051)
I don’t know about this one on sale now at ALDI . All I know is I will never buy another after the one I had literally exploding and virtually disintegrating . More concerning was in the reviews other people had the same horrible experience. Personally I would never risk buying another one.
What is the consumption rate of this heater? What has been done to rectify the product explosions which have recently taken place?
Aldi did nothing when I showed them the photos because I did not have a receipt. Very dangerous.
Reviewer Peta - why are there rocks in your heater? And, your heater doesn't seem to have 30cm clearance on either side as specified in the safety instructions? (I've just started using mine, so I'm curious about your set-up..) Cheers

Not sure of the dimensions sorry all I know is it exploded like others have for other people exactly the same way and same damage.

We purchased the Aldi Flame Effect Heater 15th May - all good but now there is a grey colored square in the place where the indication light show and go out after a while leaving a grey colored square - the assistant in Aldi said that this is *screen burn" what is this how does this happen the store does not have any more Fires to give us a replacement can we obtain one form another store Ann Santry
My flame heater exploded, glass everywhere. I will never buy another one.
Yes so did mine ,came home and glass everywhere. The heater wasn’t even on or switched on at the power point. There was such a mess with glass everywhere. Must have been some sort of chemical reaction in the heater to cause this to happen . Would never buy another one . So dangerous !

On the top of this heater under the grill there are wire elements, but these do not glow red or change colour in any way. Should they glow red when the heater is on ? The air being pumped out, at the top of the heater is hot. The grill where the hot air comes out feels hot from the hot air but the sides front and back of the heater is cool to touch, is this right? My question is are the elements working if they are not red and glowing ?? How much area should this heater heat?? It doesn’t seem that effective in heating a room but the fire effect is very nice.
