Matador Edge BBQ Range Questions & Answers
I have a matador built in 6 burner edge . Still setting it up. Didn’t come with instructions. I’ve downloaded electronic version. Put the batteries in for the rear ignition button. When I press it I get small shock. Does anyone know why this is happening? Also 2 small red female ports. Anyone know what these are for?
I have a 6 burner bbq with a extra electrical lead sticking out right next to where the lead for the transformer it has 2 female plugs on the ends not sure where they go everything else for lights and ignition is all plugged in not sure where this other plug goes

I don't have a 6 but my 4 has a socket there for phone charging via u s b. Pretend interest in buying one and ask the dealer; he will find out as he wants to make a sale.
Same thing here. Seems that one of the two cables runs to the lights and the other runs to the back burner. So it could be an alternative ignition system for the back burner (ie in addition to the ignition from the front panel) Or maybe it is power for the optional rotisserie?????

Hi, Does anyone have any experience and knowledge of Matador built in bbqs? Either the Edge 4 Burner or the Palladium 4 Burner built ins? They seem so much cheaper than many other brands. How does Matador compare to Beef-Eater and Ziegler & Brown?
Possibly because we they are made in China. But some other brands are also. Be aware that you cannot arrange hot plate In front of rear burner and split open grill each side or this will void warranty. As it must be set up,roasting dish must be half over plate and half over open grill.

Will the matador edge 3 bbq work without power
We bought a second hand one and didn’t realise that the power cord had been severed. The bbq has worked fine without power, but the lights don’t work. What worries me is that the burners rusted completely through after a few years of use. I presume the previous owner left it in the rain. We are buying a new one now and considered a stainless steel burner bbq (Alfresco), but ended up wanting the Matador Edge because I loved how it slow cooked and roasted.
