The plastic handle on my Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Vacuum has snapped, cracked and popped!!!! Do I contact Miele or the Harvey Norman store from which I purchased it???

Glenn
Glenn

Hi Tracie, I dont work for Miele so I can only give you advice, if its under warranty technically you need to go to Harvey Norman first, Im guessing with a Vac it wont be registered at Miele, but Harvey Norman will have proof of purchase and then that verify your warranty assuming it is under warranty?, me personally I would take some pics, email Harvey Norman store prove its under warranty and ask them to organise a repair or part??? if you take it in to Harvey Norman you could loose it for weeks while you wait, if they get the part or organise repair then it will be quick. If its out of warranty then you could talk with Miele about getting it repaired they have contract repairers in every state. Hope that helps, and good luck

Is it reasonable to request our nearly near new Miele G6620 dishwasher be replace rather than repaired? (By the way we are long time faithful customers of Miele, private and business) The facts- Invoice 6678339. Delivered 7/5/21 - Installed 9th July 2021 but house vacant while renovation completed. Move in 5th Nov 2021 started using machine, almost immediately noticed the machine was a bit noisier than previous Meile dishwasher we had had. Got noisier to the point that on March 6th 2022 (4 months and 1 day after we started using the machine) I took a video of the dishwasher and the noise. ( this video is time and date stamped) . About the same time I showed the video to the Miele technician that was at our home repairing another near new Miele appliance (dryer). He said just keep and eye on it and if it kets worse or stops working call Meile. On April 18th 2022 it stopped all together F70 fault. Called Miele waited on hold more than 30mins... (about usual from previous experience). Made booking. Today technician came. 16/5/22. He didn't have the parts with him to fix it. We suggested that a replacement machine would be reasonable since it was faulty from new, became very noise within a few months and a failed completely within 5 months of use. We hope that Miele takes this opportunity to do the right thing. Will keep you posted. Any suggestions welcomed.

My Miele washing machine was expensive (but projected to last 20 years, so seemed worth it). Stopped working 5 years in.

Technician says it will take $900 and 3 weeks to repair (!). How can you justify it, when you can buy a new Fisher & Paykel for $850?

Until now I have always had good experiences with Miele (also have a Miele dishwasher, stove and oven). However, this experience has made me re-evaluate. Be careful everyone!

I am so disappointed also with my Miele washer - $880 to repair only 2 issues and there are more bigger issues down the track - it’s only 8 years use ? What happened to the 20 plus years? My another brand washer lasted 20 years - I was able to sell it as it and they’re it’s still going. I look after my appliances really well. Never again - I do not want Miele anymore- I have a dryer - sheets ball up - and a dishwasher rusted - fridge and a freezer ok for now and 2 vacuums -no more. It was my husbands idea to buy the best - ppfffff It’s not.

Anyone know the solution to sheets balling up in my Miele dryer after 2 +hrs middle still damp? You then have to drape them around the house. MAY AS WELL DONE THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE AND SAVED THE ELECTRICITY!!

It is the worst dryer I have ever had!!.. my sheets ball up so tight!.. I have to constantly go and deball them to get them to dry, so frustrating….. just a rubbish crappy dryer

The grilling element in my oven is in the process of collapsing. It is only 5 years old. How do I fix the problem and how much will it cost. Never had any problems with my old Miele oven. Very disappointed.

My 8 year old Miele dishwasher won't power on and the Miele service technician told me the motherboard needs to be replaced for $800. I decided to buy a new one instead of repair, and I was told I could claim the service call out fee and get a credit since I bought a new one from them. Anyone knows how to claim it? Miele customer care doesn't answer my calls, and there is no information to be found on their website. Thanks!

I was told that once I receive and pay for my new dishwasher I can Google a Miele "Service Rebate Form" to get a refund of the service call. I haven't tried it yet and considering Miele's poor past customer service it probably won't work, but good luck anyway!

Thank you! I've already paid for my new dishwasher on the phone and now can only cross my fingers... I'm still and so puzzled that at this day and age, a German company who prides themselves for providing quality goods would treat their customers this way - completely opposite to being accurate and reliable.

The fault to my machine is considered major. The solution offered and service experience means I will never purchase another Miele product

Diane
Diane

Further to my question regarding Rebate, I've just got a message from Miele showing a wrong delivery address!!! If the delivery failed, they'll charge $95 re-delivery. Of course, no one is there to answer my call when I called 1300 464 353. What a scam of so called customer care! I haven't received my new dishwasher yet, but I truly regret that I bought one, that is, no matter how good the machine is going to be.

Oh dear after reading all the terrible reviews what chance will we have. We just purchased a refrigerator/freezer, delivered last Wednesday 21/4/21. Unfortunately although appeared to work initially it was long before we noticed especially refrigerator only cooling to 18 degrees. Freezer says -4 degrees although our food is thawing out. We have had difficulty in getting service, maybe 4/5. We will be contacting the department of fair trading if preferably we are given a replacement fridge/freezer that works. ASAP.

I paid over a $1000 for a Miele dishwasher nearly 4 years ago. Thinking I was buying a high end product I didn't buy the 5 year warranty.... During a cycle there was a loud bang & smell of smoke from the dishwasher. It just stopped mid-cycle with water in the end. We're thinking it's the motherboard. I contacted Miele, I have to wait a week for a technician ($179 call out fee) to come out Christmas week. Any ideas/advice if the motherboard is a manufacturers issue or should I bite the bullet & get a new dishwasher... which won't be a Miele. TIA

Since you did not pay for extended warranty don’t expect to be covered under warranty. What was the outcome?

How do I actually get a Miele represnetative to call us back? We recently had a Miele G7000 series dishwasher installed and have been trying to contact Miele for days without any success via telephone, email or social media. Can anyone help with some magic contact options?

Yes, I asked also to send me an email with the information that we discussed and they did. But have in mind that there is not enough support for Miele products in Australia.

Horrible customer service. I BOUGHT a washing machine in February of 2020 from Miele and it has broken down already when I've only used the product for no more than 10 times since purchasing it, and their terms state that if it is a end user fault there will be fees payable, and this is subject to their technicians supplying an assessment, on the background of rude customer service agents who are twice removed from any real and customer care. I regret purchasing anything from this company.

My second Miele dishwasher just died after 4 and 7 years respectively... Not the 20Yr advised within the advertising.. was advised that a service agent would fix and to call back if not happy cost me $175 and advised not worth fixing the thing... have contacted Miele three times since and no reply...

I would suggest you ring them up or send them an email correspondence. I won’t tell you what I did to get someone from customer care to contact me to ensure Miele doesn’t get abuse (these are people after all) with email complaints.

Through my dealings with Miele, I can confirm that if you manage to get to speak to a manager or customer advocate, matters will be handled better. Hopefully as it has been indicated customer service agents will soon have differing forms of communication with a customer at the first point of contact.

They (the customer service agents) will tell you about the $175.00 because that’s what they’re directly informed to say.

I have had someone come to my place and it appears there was an issue and it has been dealt with.

Yes, the process to get someone here without the threat of charging was horrid but they do listen and put customers first.

Still my own personal experience was not good irrespective. Matters should have never come to what I had to do.

Haven’t used the machine yet I’m hoping for the best.

Again call them up!

We are in Regional Queensland and have a Miele H5247BP Pyrolytic Wall Oven almost eight years old (but still looks like new) that just stopped working last week. Power is on to the unit as the clock still works but the switch to turn the oven will not work.

The oven cost a fortune but my wife loves it.

Rang Miele but have to get a Miele service person to look at - locally this is just an agent who has a reputation for charging like a wounded scrub bull, plus there is a 20 day wait for someone to even come and have a look at it! Then order parts ($$$?) and how long for delivery, then wait for this agent to fit us into their busy schedule.

Of note is that several of our guests at the time our oven failed had a Miele experience recently with a wall oven of similar age to ours, and basically they were so messed around that they just bought another oven - not Miele - and threw the old one out.

We need an oven now, not in two months time, so also will be buying a new oven - NOT MEILE - and one not serviced by our local highwayman service people.

We have had a beautiful German car that my wife also loved, but had the same problems with it that we are having with Miele - service out here in the regions is a nightmare and far too expensive.

So I emailed Miele a bit back but no response as of yet. I had a service call out for my T8861 dryer as it had a high pitched squeek, on and off. I assumed perhaps was the belt, as did the service man. He needed a second person to assist in lifting the dryer to repair, when the next time they came, the person had much more experience and diagnosed it as needing a new motor. As it's part of the quality pledge, would I still need to pay for the callout fee and labour? The original person said it would be just be the callout fee, as he also replaced the brushes (which has occured before). Since the main reason for the service call was the loud screaching, the dryer would have to taken apart anyways due to replacing the motor, and I'd happily just pay for the parts (brushes) as the motor would require it to be disassembled anyways. Is this correct that I'd need to pay for the call out fee, even though the 2nd repairman said the motor is under warranty, quality pledge and is no cost? Just want to make sure that I'd still need to pay the callout fee, even though the screaching was misdiagnosed as a slipping belt instead. Can you assist in clarifying this for me?

Also when they were scheduled to come replace the motor, he called that morning and said they couldn't make it as someone had called out sick. He said Miele would call and reschedule. Nobody ever did and when I called and waited a long time on the phone, I couldn't get someone out until 21st July now. As this wasn't my error, is there anyway it can be sooner than this? Many thanks J

Miele are very slow to respond to complaints and take a long time to schedule service calls. Their service isn't what it used to be. Even if they respond to this review you have posted you will find it difficult to pin them down.

Anna the automated response works well. In reality the service is very slow and clients are left in limbo with the faulty super Miele products. The company has to restructure, I will contact Germany and tell what is going on in Australia. I used to live in Germany.

I just read the reviews. Buyer satisfaction is definitely dropping and so is Miele’s reputation. Disgusting people wait so long, have call out fees on machines that boast 20 yrs longevity. The call out fees should be covered in the expense of the machines in the first place. This is a standard you would expect with cheaper inexpensive throw away brands. All I can say is word gets around and reputation can make or break companies. Appalling customer service. And there is no sincerity in your apology or you would have fixed these issues. You may as well be a chat bot apologising. I’ll be spreading the word.

Hello miele representative, I bought a miele dishwasher a new one, after the first one only four years old broke down. It was delivered and installed this morning 12/06/20 without the cutlery holder. I rang I held for 20 minutes on the phone, because I have nothing else to do with my life. I went to the online site, which sends you back to the phone number. I had an online chat which sent me back to the phone number. Still holding. What a useless system. Very unimpressed. Carol

Miele Dishwasher dead after 6 years .. ? Spent $176 on first service call. (two more service calls - not charged for) still broken, have $738 quote to continue working on it (circulation pump replacement).. now 1 month without dishwasher.. Shouldn't Miele, be obligated to fix under consumer laws? They claim a working lifespan of 20 years.... I have be in contact with Miele Service, who have offered me 20% off a new machine (but I have to get it installed myself).. or a 30%-50% goodwill rebate.. on just the most recent repair which seems insulting on a dishwasher which cost between $1600-$2000 new.. when I bought it. I have tried to pressure them in regard to the obligations regarding ACL, but apparently that's company policy...
