Mitsubishi Outlander 3rd Gen ZJ PHEV (2015-2017) Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi there, just thinking of buying outlander phew 2015, 82000 km but I'm a little bit worried about the battery degradation over time. Can someone please tell me, what is the actual fuel consumption if the battery goes flat completely, city and highway journeys? Does it work like Hybrid Prius after battery goes dead? Any answers highly appreciated!
Running on petrol alone it is much the same as a petrol only car i.e 8 to 9 l/100km on the open road.
Would not pay a penny more than a non PHEV as the battery is hopeless. My vehicle was purchased back by the dealer after 21/2 years for the original purchase price after the case was due to go into court in that week. After years of trying to get the battery replaced. It was a long and stressful period. Stephen
Have a 2015 model and the battery has degraded to 44% , Mitsubishi will do nothing about this and a new battery will cost $14,000-. About to go to court to make a claim. Potential purchasers of these cars be warned!
