Has anyone had problems with nexen tyres? I have splits in all four tyres around the side wall and they are only 18 months old.

First I have to say I am not a dealer, but I've had 3 sets of N7000 no problems at all, I've had 1 set currently still on the car n6000 done 40,000klms and no problems and my wife has had the CP672 which lasted 46,000klms and had no problems and friends of mine who I have recommended the n7000 or n6000 to, love them.

I do know that they are Korean made all mine have been and that some are made in another country now so that may have something to do with it, I would check on the tyre its written on there,

Hope it helps.

Cant say i have any issues, I am planning to buy again. I have both 6 & 8's, for the few dollars difference the 8's are much quieter and 6's on the rear only as they grip well but too loud during higher speed turning.

We have the same problem, 4 tyres, done very little kms, all have splits in them. Brother in law had same tyres with same problem. He received some reimbursement we have just put 4 new tyres on, waiting for a response from manufacturers.

Wouldn't go Nexen again.

If you have 17 inch rims running 235 45s, can I put for say 55s or bigger 60s? Have no idea! Thanking you!

Hi Steve, Depends, on your car there will be a plaque with tyre sizes on it suitable for you cars rims or in your car manual. Mine came standard with 225/50/17 more expensive to replace, the plaque inside the door said suitable tyre sizes and pressures to run, otherwise I would take it to a tyre place and ask but don't be pushed into buying what they got because they are just trying to get rid of the crap. Hope I helped

Hi Steve, Try to go with the recommend size as per the build plate thingy in the drivers door but you can go up or down a bit for whatever reason you want Some go bigger for more comfort or smaller for more performance but ensure the load rating is enough for your car as safety first bud :)

Just remember the profile is a % of the width so 45%,55% etc

Too much will make the wheel bigger and it will throw your speedo out and may not fit properly

I have to choose between a set of Nexen N6000 ; a set of Goodyear Eagle RSA and a set of Bridstone Turanza. The tire size is P205 55R 16 What do you recommend? Thanks

Hello Steve, we have been really happy with the Nexen tyres. We drive a front wheel drive V6 Renault and previously had Pirelli and other well rated brands. The Nexens are quiet and good grip at all levels so far. Downside, I do not think they wear as well as other brands but we have found they are considerably cheaper than most other similar performance tyres brands so it is something of a trade off. I have had Bridgestone Turanzas before on another car and found them good. I don't think you will go too far wrong with anything you choose in the 3 you have got under consideration

you could try the N7000 it has a slightly higher wear rating but still grip as good as the N6000

What is the approximate Km life for Nexen N6000 225/40ZR18 fronts and 255/35ZR18 rears? I am not an over aggresive driver.

Hello Neville, we have had them on for approx 10,000 klms so far with no appreciable signs of wear. Our car is a 6 cylinder FWD car that usually chews up tyres. Why we went with the NEXENS. Our tyres are 205 x 55 x 16 . We are not aggressive drivers either and find them very quiet and good on long runs. They provide good feel and grip
