Nobo E Series Slimline Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a Nobo Panel Heater E4E203-152A1X dated 2007. It seems to be a basic model. The small round thermostat has broken off and looks like it has left a white "peg" behind in the metal body of the heater. It should be a simple fix but is there a manual to show how the "peg" should be removed and a new thermostat fitted? Thanks
Good afternoon Renee. Thank you for your enquiry. I will reach out to you for some further information so I can assist you. Regards Nobo
Hi. I have three Nobo heaters, i have replaced two already due to the same screen issue everyone else seems to be having. Now the last one has the same problem as everyone else whereby the screen is blank....how do I bypass the timer?

I have an older slimline panel heater which has been seldom used. Until recently it worked well but now the timer shows all days and times. The heater will switch on once you press the RST and RCL button but no change to the screen. I’ve tried unplugging etc but it won’t come back on. Please help!
Good morning Ant. Thank you for your enquiry. You may need to replace the timer. I will send you a message. Regards Nobo Team
Does anyone know when the E4E10 was discontinued? :) Thanks in advance.
Good afternoon Kai thank you for your enquiry. That model was discontinued around 2016. Is there anything we can assist you with? Kind regards Nobo Team
I have an older slimline panel heater which has been seldom used. Until recently it worked well but now the timer shows all days and times etc and the heater will not switch on. The red light on the programme timer is on and occasionally I see the thermostat light flick on but it won’t stay on and heat up. I’ve tried to RST and RCL but can’t figure it out. I’ve tried unplugging etc but it won’t come back on. Please help!
Good morning, Ange. Thank you for your enquiry regarding your Nobo panel heater E4EU12. If you can please supply your email address so I can get some further information. Kind regards Nobo Team
Hi all, is there any way of finding out the energy star rating for this model of heater? I've searched high and low online and can't seem to find anything - need to know for real estate leasing purposes :) Thanks.
Is there an instruction manual still available for this model - E4EU153?
Hi Helen, thank you for reaching out to us, here is a link: https://cdn.productreview.com.au/document/thread-message/c5deb6d5-0261-4d62-a04e-df2cda6eaa45 Thanks
Hi, how do you bypass the the timer and just use manually? The screen has a fault and won't turn on, I've taken the front panel off and its very basic. There is a grey conductor that is flat (about 10mm) does anyone know if I pull this to bypass? Thanks
Hello - it is possible to replace the small lithium battery which solves most if not all timer/display problems once you get the circuit board out,it will need soldering from memory,it is nightmare drilling out a plastic rivet to get to the battery which is easily available on Ebay. EXTREME Care must be taken in reassembly because this is a mains powered heater, make sure any conducting heater element wires don't touch the circuit board on re-assembley
Hi Max, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any technical advise. It is recommended that you get a qualified person to assist in bypassing the timer. Thanks
hi, i am having the same problem with the timer on the nobu e4eu heater. i just would like some instructions on how to reset the timer, or ideally bypass it completely.
Hi Ben, thank you for reaching out to us. Is the timer turning on? Unfortunately we are unable to provide technical instructions on how to bypass it. Thanks
The timer on my Nobo heater has stopped working. I assume that's because it has a rechargeable battery which doesn't hold charge any more. I'd like to change the battery, or perhaps more simply, get rid of the timer altogether and just use the heater manually. Any advice?
Hi Lenox, thank you for reaching out to us and I'm sorry to hear that the heater not working. They are options to change the timer or bypass if required. I will reach out to you directly to get some more information. Thanks
We have two E4EU15s- one with timer and one without. The one without works fine, but like so many other people here the timer on the other is causing issues. The screen is permanently blank, but until recently we could just use the override button to manually turn on and off. But now that doesn't work either. I've tried resetting with no luck. At this point I'm wishing we'd bought the cheaper timer-less version.
Is it possible to replace the rechargeable battery or remove/bypass the timer altogether and just have a "dumb" heater?
Hi Brik, thank you for reaching out to us and I'm sorry to hear that the heater not working. Yes they are options to change the timer or bypass if required. I will reach out to you directly to get some more information. Thanks
Hello, I have exactly the same problem as Brik: the timer on my nobo heaters has gone dead, presumably because the rechargeable battery isn't working. I'd like to simply override the timer and control it manually. Nobo, can you please let me know how to do that?
Hi Lenox, thank you for reaching out to us. I will reach out to you directly to get some more information. Thanks
Hi I have a E4E203. It has just stopped working, was trouble free previously. Red light doesn’t go on & no heater operation

We have a nobo NCU-2T. The timer has been set so that it turns off during the day however I'm noticing it is still on when it shouldn't be. How do I fix this? I have reset the timer multiple times in an attempt to solve.
Hi Abigail, Thank you for your question. I will reach out to you directly to get some additional information. Thanks
I have just received the same model, for the second time, the timer is not following its program, same issue as the first. Is there a fix to this issue or do I give up and go for another brand?
I have a E4EU123 with timer issues like many in this forum. What are my options - I see bypass of the timer but the method is by private message, I see timer interface instructions that don't match my model of timer. Is there a direct replacement heater that will fit the E4EU123 mounts and wiring as installed by the electrician. Thank you
Hi David, Thank you for your question and I'm sorry to hear of this. I will reach out to you directly. Thanks
Hello, the timer screen works but the heater doesn’t turn on. The red light on the timer screen lights up but the red light above the temp control on the side doesn’t light up anymore. Please help. I have reset the timer with no resolution..
Hi Stella, thank you for your question and I'm sorry to hear of this. While resetting by pushing the RST (RESET) button the TIME button must be pressed and the OVERRIDE button switched to the ON mode before the heater will operate. The flashing two dots in the middle of the time display indicates clock is operating. The red light situated next to the DAY button, when illuminated, indicates heater is operating. If this does not work for you may require someone to take look at it. Thanks

Hi, my E4EU153 will not turn on, the little red light is not on and the timer panel Is blank. There appears to be no damage, it just stopped working. Any advice?
Your timer is likely dead. The same thing happened to 3 of mine. And after only a couple of years of infrequent use. Unfortunately I can’t even recommend replacing the timer as I did that (expensive junky looking part) as the new timer I received was also dead, even after hours of charging, and the importer didn’t reply to my complaint. The timer has a small rechargeable battery inside it (not easily replaced as it’s a sealed unit), and it’s my guess that after a while the battery diss and will no longer hold a charge. Sometimes if you lift up the clear cover and hold the override button down for a while the heater will work, but the timing function is dead. Sorry.
Thanks
Hi,I have several nobo heaters but one of them -2400 w keeps switching on & off continuously. Doesn’t even stay on long enough to warm up at all. Very disappointing for such an expensive heater & just as the cold weather is kicking in Please help Thanks
