Has anyone cooked pork belly in the AF160 & if so how did you do it & how did it turn out?

Marinate the pork belly in Lee Kum Kee Char Siu sauce(available from Woolworths) overnight and cook in air fryer at 200C(air fry) for 11 mins turning over every 3-4 mins. Tastes better that the pork belly from restaurants...

Yep, anything you cook in the oven can be cooked in the air fryer. Especially pork belly, the crackle is the best! I cook mine 15-20 mins upside down (meat side up) on 180, then crackle side up 20 mins on 200...yummo!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I’ll try both methods.

I just bought the Ninja air fryer AF160. It didn’t come with a basket which I hadn’t realised. Has anyone had an issue with that?

You mean a basket within the pullout drawer? It has a flat ish piece that sits in the base for raising foods like meat, chicken etc so fat drops through. But there is no problem at all with it. I absolutely love it. First Airfryer I’ve ever had. I literally use it every day.

Take out the little base piece and use the drawer as it is, for every kind of thing! Eh Granola is cooked perfectly. I also have suitable size Pyrex ovenproof dishes that I already had, that I put food that I would normally bake in the oven (eg chicken dishes, curry, etc) and cook it in Airfryer. Literally anything you can cook in the oven can be cooked in the Airfryer. And the ninja is so easy to clean. Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I thought it would come with a wire basket like a deep fryer but will use a Pyrex dish like u suggest.

I have had both types of air fryer, & prefer this one than the others with internal basket. Heaps easier to clean. I don't even bother using another tray or dish in it, I just removal the tray when I want to cook something in it marinate or its own juices.

Thanks for your time to respond. Just a matter of trial & error I guess
