My phillips azure iron has stopped producing steam even with a full tank, have tried to decals it several times but no water or calcium is coming out of the soleplate ehich, still looks in excellent condition
Hi Ann, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with your steamer. It sounds like there might be condensations in the steamer's hose. When you hold your steamer horizontally, this creates condensation in the hose, which can block the steam flow. Due to this, it could stop steaming or could start steaming intermittently.
To solve this, lift your stand steamer's head to straighten the hose vertically, and hold your steamer in an upright position: This will allow any condensation and steam to flow again. After this, your stand steamer should produce steam again.
It could also be the case that too much scale has built up. When scale builds up in your Philips Stand Steamer, it might not be able to produce steam. Please perform the de-calc process detailed in the following lines: 1. Switch off and unplug your stand steamer and allow it to cool down for an hour. 2. Bring the steamer to a sink. 3. Locate the de-calc knob (you will find it on the lower area of the water tank). 4. Turn the de-calc knob anti-clockwise to unlock it. 5. Pull the de-calc knob out and let the water drain. 6. Once all water is drained, push the de-calc knob back in and turn it clockwise to lock it.
If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to contact us at 800 854 885 (NZ) from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 05:00 pm EST and 1300 80 58 65 (AU) from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 05:00 pm EST. One of our colleagues will be happy to help you out.

Iron not heating, is there a reset switch
Hi Darryl, Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that your iron is no longer heating - we can imagine how inconvenient this must be. Unfortunately there is no reset switch, but there are a couple of troubleshooting tips that you can try. First, we advise you to double-check the mains cord, the plug and the wall socket, to rule out that it is a connection issue. If these look normal, we recommend descaling the iron if you haven't already. Instructions for how to do this are outlined in the user manual.
If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at 800 854 885 (NZ) from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 05:00 pm EST and 1300 80 58 65 (AU) from Monday - Friday: 09:00 am - 05:00 pm EST. One of our colleagues will be happy to help you out!

the holding tabs on the water filler are broken and the echo to max slide does not shift the steam control. The decalcify operation led to some black calcification plus red plastic chips coming out of the steam holes in the base. With the water fill open there was a red button visible in the water chamber. When pressed it moved down apparently opening a valve which allowed the normal steam to function. It would seem that there is a missing link because the steam cannot now be turned off.
Hi Roy, Thanks for getting back to us and sharing this. That doesn't sound good, indeed. Our colleagues on the product team will be better able to assist you with this, so we advise you to reach out to them via the contact information we shared in our previous reply.

The max, eco and steam lights are flashing fast and the IQ button is no longer lit?
Multiple blinking lights usually mean a fault. If it's still under warranty take it back. If not, it's probably time to replace
Hi Lee, thank you for reaching out. If all the lights are blinking, there might be an issue that we can only resolve in our service center. Please feel free to contact us through 0800 658 224 (NZ) from Monday -Friday: 09:00 am -09:00 pm and 1300 363 391 (AU) Monday -Friday: 07:00 am -07:00 pm EST for further assistance.

My Philips azur 3000 steam iron has stopped working it’s only 15months old , it won’t heat up and a blue IQ light keeps flashing. Any help?
I have the same problem. Did you managed to find a solution?
the solution is you bring into the store where you buy the have a warranty like i have 2 years warranty after 3months the water all out..the seconds they not make hot..and the 3rd is burn..and finally i get new and now almost 2 years and 6months
Hi, the switch on the top of the iron gets jammed on steam but works fine on ECO and non steam. I have managed to force the switch back to ECO but this time, it won’t budge and is jammed on full steam. What can I do to unjam the switch and prevent this from happening again without having to buy a new iron. The iron is around 2 years old and has been doing this since I first purchased it.
Hi, Fran. Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear the switch of your iron is not working properly. Please check that debris or limescale are not blocking it. Clean the part with a damp cloth, and see if the problem persists. Also, make sure to clean and descale your device regularly. If this doesn't help, we'd like to refer you to our colleagues for more information. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They're always happy to help!

The iron is clean, and has been working well. 2 days ago, at switch-on, the Auto/Off red light flashed continuously, and the iron did not heat up. No amount of movement - up/down, left-right, rotate head-over-heel, whatever makes any difference. I have checked the power connections and all are fine. (I am a qualified electrical engineer.) All of this has been repeated at intervals since, with no change. I can find no indication through your web-sight of any spare parts are available for this iron. Help, please!
Hi David, Thank you for taking your time to leave this review for us. We are very sorry to hear that you have run into this issue with your steam iron, and we would like to see how we can help here. Usually when the Calc-Clean or Decalc light of your Philips Steam Iron is blinking, it is time to descale it. May we suggest our dedicated page as a detailed guide in this process? You can find more information on this link: external link .
However, if descaling won't resolve this issue, we would still be happy to assist you further! If you could call us on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST, we’d love to see how we can help you further.

Your response appears to not be relevant to my question. 1. The iron I specified was an Azur, Model number GC4856. That model does not have a 'Calc-clean' or a 'Decalc' light. My question contained the information that the flashing red light is called an 'Auto-Off' light. The User Manual for the iron (which, I note, is a general document for the GC4800 series of irons, and it includes information specifically relevant to the GC4856 model). 2. Any instruction regarding de-calc - from the User Manual or in the link provided in your response) either refers to an iron with a Calc-clean or Decalc light, or a 'Quick Calc Release' collector. The model GC4856 has none of these, and is not mentioned in the latter. 3. My question included the information that the iron does not heat up. Without a quick Calc Release collector, there appears to be no way of carrying out a 'de-calc' operation on an iron that will not heat up. Regards David

I have the same problem with my iron since I bought it and am not happy with the way it works. The button jams up from steam to eco and once ironing and the water level reaches a certain level the iron light indicator flashes on and off and the iron does not work. I need to unplug regularly for iron to start up again. Have not had this problem with ither Ohilips irons I have purchased and am very unhappy eith this iron.Unfortunateky the warrantee is expired otherwise I would have changed it.
I have just emptied the calc clean and briefly rinsed out the residue that was left in the iron under the tap (as there was loads) Now the iron’s heating light is not coming on and it’s not heating up. Have I broken it?

My azure iron leaks from the bottom of the water reservoir after it has been used for half an hour or so. A large patch of water is created where the iron is standing in an upright position between ironing. Can anyone suggest why?
Hi, we're sorry to know that your Steam Iron is leaking from its water reservoir. There might be various reasons why this happens: is your water reservoir overfilled? Is the cap closed properly? Could you examine the area: do you see any visible cracks? Another reason could be the presence of limescale. This can be avoided by using distilled water, instead of tap water.
If this doesn't help, we'd like to refer you to our product team for further assistance. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They'll be happy to help.

The holes on my iron are clogged up how do I fix this?
Hi Zoe, the limescale getting stuck on the holes of your Azur Performer is also a result of insufficient descaling. KIndly reach out to our product team via the contact details we shared in your other message.

I have tried to descale my azur performer iron with built in calc clean following instructions by pressing the calc clean button but it doesn’t work. any ideas?
Hi Zoe, we're sorry to hear that you are struggling to get your Azur Performer descaled. KIndly follow these steps to mantain your iron steamer: Fill the water tank and turn on. (If your iron has adjustable settings, choose MAX TEMP and NO STEAM.) When the light goes out, unplug and hold the iron over the sink so the soleplate is horizontal. Activate CALC CLEAN using the button or selector. (Varies per model. Press and hold, if necessary.) Shake the iron gently back and forth until empty. Water, steam and scale will come out of the steam vents. Heat the iron and glide over a cloth to clean the soleplate. Repeat process, if necessary. Repeat this process once a month, or as necessary.

My auto / off light flashes red when turned on then doesn’t heat up. I’ve changed the temp dial accordingly. Basically doest work now… anything else I can do?
Hi Sarah, thank you for reaching out to us and your question. That's quite incovenient that your iron is not working properly, let's see what we can do to assist. The automatic shut-off function automatically switches off the iron if it has not been moved for a while. The red auto-off light flashes to indicate that the iron has been switched off by the automatic shut-off function. To let the iron heat up again follow this steps:
1. Pick up the iron or move it slightly. The red auto-off light goes out. If the temperature of the soleplate has dropped below the set ironing temperature, the amber temperature light goes on. 2. If the amber temperature light goes on after you have moved the iron, wait for it to go out before you start ironing. If the amber temperature light does not go on after you move the iron, the soleplate still has the right temperature and the iron is ready for use.
Please let us know if this helps. We'd like to refer you to our Consumer Care team for more information. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They'll be happy to help.
