Philips Airfryer Premium XXL Digital HD9650/93 Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 14366, HD9650-93 and HD9650/93Hi Phillips, could you please confirm what the non-stick coating is of your Premium XXL Airfryer black HD9650/93, as well as the Premium Airfryer XXL HD9870/20. I understand both have a PTFE teflon coating - is this correct? And what's the maximum temperature the air fryers reach? Many thanks for your feedback.

Can I use the airfryer without the basket as its quite small? I heard on the other model you can but if this is the case, how do I open the drawer as this is attached to the handle?
I also have questions about the pre settings ad they are rather ambiguous, e.g, the frozen chips is 180c and so is the next setting g for the whole chicken, is there any difference between these 2 settings? And so firth with the 'steak' and 'fish' settings which are both at 200c
I am finding it quite difficult to know what settings or temperature to use for a lot of foods, please could you point me to some information?
New air fryer here !
Please help me I want to know the difference between HD9650/91 and HD9654/91 and which model newer than the other
Hi Ahmed, Thanks for your interest in our Airfryers. The difference between the two models is that the HD9654/91 is slightly more powerful (2225 W instead of 2200 W), and it has a grill pan and a grill bottom included.
We'd like to refer you to our colleagues for more information. You can reach them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They're always happy to help!

Is this unit twin turbo. Can anyone tell the difference between DH 9650/91 AND DH 9651/91
Hi, Sharon. Thank you for your interest in our product. Our Airfryer HD9650/93, like the DH9651/91and DH9650/91 owe their fat-burning ability to Philips’ patented Twin TurboStar technology. We'd be happy to share our product leaflets with you, and answer any other question that may help you make up your mind.
Kindly reach out to our product team for more information. You can contact them directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. They'll be happy to help.

Does this model HD9650/93 have a non-stick coating? Is it PFOA and PTFE free? I can't be certain that it has a non-stick coating because it still sticks like mad sometimes. However, the mesh bottom is clearly coated as I can see the black colour is coming off. What about the basket and the pan? Is it also non-stick coated? And is that non-stick coating teflon free i.e., PFOA and PFTE free? Also the other "fat reducer" layer is of some plastic material which is giving way. When I take it out of the dishwasher (runs at 40 degrees Celsius temp) I can rub off some fine black powdery substance onto my finger. Is this still safe? I'm inclined to remove this fat reducer layer however your manual clearly states "do not use the pan without the fat reducer AND basket". Would removing the fat reducer only be okay? I have a new pet bird and teflon toxicity will now be an issue in our household so would really like to know whether it is still safe to use for our bird.
Hello, thanks for your questions and for sharing your concerns. If your Airfryer came with a fat reducer accessory, you should always use it while cooking fatty ingredients. This fat reducer accessory will prevent the formation of white smoke. About the other questions, we kindly advise you to contact our product experts for further assistance. Hello, I purchased a Philips XXL airfryer.. the first time I made chicken bbq in it, it worked. The second day I again tried to make chicken but it's fan didnt turn on; no sound of fan. The airfryer was heating up, and I could feel some heat coming out of the vent at the back of machine. I took it to the shop they replaced it without checking. Now after 1 year, same problem has occurred. I used it last night. It was perfect. Today when I tried using it, fan is not on as no sound of it. And, the airfryer is heating up and heat can be felt near the cent at the back of it. Please help as in the condition these days, I cant take it to service centre.

I bought a HD9651/91 in July 2019 and was using is it well. No issues at all, until we noticed that after some time the drawer does not close flush. The hold out of door is about approx 5mm and does not lock into a flush position however much you try to close it. However this does not stop cooking. Since we were under Concierge Warranty with Good Guys, we went and complained. No questions asked they agreed for a replacement. Not sure why this door not closing issue ocurred. One possibility is that when operating at 200 Cel the drawer door may be warping or expanding, causing a 5mm gap.
Hi Leon, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts. It is possible that the door wasn't fully closed because of debris that stopped it from closing flush. In case there is anything that we can do for you, you can contact us directly on 1300 363 391 (Australia), or 0800 658 224 (New Zealand) from Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. how old is it and at the end of the day I would contact Phillips direct online because it depends on your warranty but at the same time they should fix it for the price we pay for it.
