My frier turns itself off after about 6 mins as if it is overheating, I’m cooking at 190, never had a problem before, any ideas anyone? pls.

how do I attach grill pan as the handle on the main pan is not detachable?

Hi my philips airfryet XL has stopped working altogether . Not yet a year old .... on ocasdion it has stopped halfway through cooking but tonight it has completely stopped . It not longer turns on at all ... tried different powerpoints and also waited several hours in case it had somehow overheated . I was only cooking frozen chips and it had only been on for 8 minutes when it cut out . Thoughts ???

My air fryer has taken to switching off midway through cooking - with the error message ER flashing on the screen. Please advise why this is happening? Could you please make sure that you set the time after pre-heating and then press the start/pause button? If the start/pause button is fast double blinking, then it might be the case that you have forgotten to push the button. If the start/pause button blinks slowly, the process has been done correctly. However, do know that if the settings are not confirmed, the appliance switches off automatically for safety reasons. Do let us know if this helps! The digital timer on my Phillips airfryer keeps jumping for example if i set it for 20 minutes it starts off okay then it beeps and say skips up to 60 minutes it then goes bezerk and does it own thing i always have to watch it and re set it, can this be fixed?

I am using my airfryer for the first time. When I press the temperature button, it jumps from 360 to 390. The recipe I'm using calls for a temp of 370, but the fryer doesn't give me that option. What am I doing wrong?
I LOVE my aifryer however the draw seems to be slightly warped and does seal properly. This is my 2nd air fryer as the first one did the same. I had it replaced under warranty but don’t want to go back every 10 months for a new one. Have you heard of this issue before? It is Phillips XL in white

Hi I have the Phillip's hd9240 rapid air fryer. I set the timer and temperature but the fan doesn't switch on. What could the problem be? The fryer is still fairly new. About 2 months only.

Hi, I have the hd9240/90 model. I just purchased it and on unpacking I accidentally closed the draw without the basket and handle on. Now I cannot open it. Can anyone help? Thanks very much
Hi there, thanks for your question. If everything is alright, you should be able to open the draw by simply pulling it with your finger. It's not very inconvenient but you should be able to do this. We just gave it a shot ourselves here at the office and if you push your left hand against the appliance and pull the draw with your right hand then you should be fine. I have owned the philip avancence XL Airfryer for about 4 yrs and is starting to give problems. Sometimes it doesn’t switch on and sometimes it does. When it does switch on, it will shut down after a minute of it being on. Can you pls tell me what’s wrong with the airfryer and I thought it should have a longer lifespan as I don’t it very much. All I want to know is whether it is a major problem and whether it is worth repairing. I don’t think I want to pay $30 for it and I might look at buying a different brand instead. (One of my friends had problems with her Philip Airfryer too and ended up getting rid of it).
Bought a brand new Phillips 9240. On the first use, the fan stopped working while cooking. Now, element comes on and heats up but no fan running. Any ideas?

Hi , I own the Phillips Airfryer ( XL Black), have been using it from the past 3 years with no major issues. Last weekend it didn't turn at all. My husband tried and it started working again. I did one batch of food but when I tried the second batch it stopped again and didn't work at all after that. I think the issue is with the touch buttons. Pls advise how to fix it?

Good Day, I am looking for a new air fryer, having bought my Phillips HD9240/90 XL digital in January 2016. It will not start, or sometimes it starts, but switches off in the midst of cooking. This is my 3rd one, both the previous ones gave the same problems and were exchanged/refunded without hesitation by Myer, whilst under warranty.( cudos to Myer). This one has lasted the longest though. I am now extremely frustrated with the poor quality of this product, which I am lost without. I loved it (when it worked); even though cleaning it is a pain- the dishwasher does not remove grease. There are other similar problems experienced by others on this forum. Can anyone advise what you did to rectify the issue?
I use bam degrease spray( with the green trigger top)generously and let sit for few mins before washing with no scratch scourer and baking paper is also helpful while cooking things like spring rolls and other greasy foods :)I have never had problems with this product since i bought. I always do hand wash and never put it in a dish washer. Soak with warm water and put some washing liquid then use sponge to get rid of grease:) my mum has a similler phillip air fryer but she also has no problems with it since she bought it early 2017.Hi there.
