Hi there.
I previously asked about a tilt error/beeping with our two Rinnai DEPH22DTW heaters. I was messaged by a Rinnai representative here, who promised to resolve the issue. I was passed on to a Rinnai support email address and was told that the initial representative would make contact with them to alert them to the issue.
Upon emailing them, they claim to have not been looped in and requested the details of the initial representative. I have requested this via messaging on this website but haven't received a response.
Our heaters still do not work; our house is cold, and between chasing people up, providing photos and model numbers and replying to messages it's all getting pretty tedious.
Any chance of resolution?
Hi Shane M, We appreciate your patience whilst we processed your claim for replacement of the two affected electric panel heaters. We have had confirmation from the service team that the work order for the dispatch of the replacements has been raised. The work order reference is 317203.

I have the Rinnai PEPH22PEW panel heater and just got it out of storage for the winter and when I programme it to switch on at different times of the day it just remains on constantly, it’s only set at 21 degrees and gets super hot, the only way to turn it off is to switch off the main power switch. I got this as a replacement from Good Guys a few years ago after having to return our other Rinnai after it overheated and stopped working. Could anyone please tell me what’s going on with the programme function, this is meant for child’s bedroom and I feel a bit concerned leaving this on overnight now. We’ve never had a problem programming before it’s always switched on and off as it should. Many thanks
Hi Andrew,
We would recommend contacting our Technical Help Deesk on 1300 555 545 option 3 and they can run through the programming function with you.
Thanks Rinnai Australia
We know how to programme the heater as we have always programmed it every winter, I also checked through the manual to make sure I wasn’t missing anything but since setting it up again for this winter it is not switching off when it should be, it is also extremely hot to touch when it is only set at 21 degrees, at the moment I don’t want to have it on as it’s for our child’s room and we are concerned that there is a problem with it. When I went in his room the other morning when it was only supposed to have been on for half an hour the room was so hot I couldn’t stand it, it’s a very large room and usually take a while to warm up and usually only gets warm not hot. I cannot seem to regulate the temperature whatever I have it on it’s super hot.
Hi Andrew It is difficult to diagnose he issue with the heater without inspection. If the heater is within it's 7 year warranty and the problems continue, the heater can be returned to the place of purchase for an exchange.
Thanks Rinnai Australia
GEPH-22EW When turned on it runs for 5 minutes and then shuts off. If I turn it back on it does the same thing. It is impossible to make this heater work for more than 5 minutes and 5 minutes is nowhere near long enough to heat a room. Don't give me the flippant 7 years warranty with proof of purchase reply, nobody keeps receipts for longer than required by the Tax Office, these heaters are all manufactured with cheapest available components and always breakdown within your fantasy 7-years warranty period. Your records will show when a particular serial number was sold so you know when they've been used for less than 7-years. Honour your warranties and stop being so contemptuous towards your customers
Hi David, We would recommend keeping the receipt for any item for the full length of the warranty period. While we can ascertain when a unit is manufactured, the heater may spend time in storage before being sold. As the warranty begins from the date of purchase, the receipt can provide a more specific date.
We have sent you a private messsage for more details regarding your unit so we can arrange a replacement.
Thanks Rinnai Australia
Hi I have the same problem and don't have the recipe anymore. Is that meaning, I should throw the heater away? This is not acceptable
Hi Onur U,
You can approach your place of purchase to enquire if they can reproduce a copy of the receipt.

Hi, My heater has become increasingly more noisy and has just become very hot to touch. I have had it for just over 12 months and it has always been safe to touch until a couple of days ago when it became unbearable to touch. Any ideas?
Hi Meg, Thanks for the question. There could be a number of issues that could be causing this. Ensure the heater is being used without a power board. The Electric panel heater range has a 7 year replacement warranty so if the issue continues, you can return to the store of purchase for a replacement.

Hello my heater comes up with a EO code when you turn it on And it doesn’t start up what does this code mean and how can I erase it thank you shane
Hi Shane H, You can try unplugging the heater for 4-5 minutes and then plugging it back in to reset. If this does not work, the unit has a 7 year replacement warranty and can be returned to the place of purchase for a new unit.
Thanks Rinnai Australia
I have a 2200W panel heater (REPH - 22DTW) that’s only used occasionally but recently it cuts out after only being on for a few minutes, the control pad is blank and unresponsive for another few minutes till it beeps back to life in standby mode. Would like to get it fixed as I have 5 other heaters the same and had no issues
Hi Lee E, Thanks for your question. This heater has a 7 year parts warranty from date of purchase. If the product fails within this 7 year period, return it to the supplier with proof of purchase for repair or replacement.
Thanks Rinnai Australia
Is the reason this model is no longer available , because of the red faulty isolating switch

My rinnai electrical mobile heater is on it seems ok but it does not provide hot heating. Many thaks.
Hi Filipe, thanks for the question. The electric panel heater has a 7 year replacement warranty. If your unit is failing to heat, it can be returned to your place of purchase for a replacement unit.

2200w panel heater power plug hot after 24hrs of continual use
Hi Doug, Thank you for the question. As long as it is not on an extension cord ,the cord that the unit comes with is rated 2400 watts or 10 amps. When drawing almost maximum power for continual periods of time there there is going to be residual heat transference.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks Rinnai Australia
why does my heater beep
Hi Harry, Thanks for reaching out. You may like to contact our Technical Department on 1300 555 545 (option 3), or alternatively if the heater is faulty and still falls within it's 7 year warranty period you can return the heater to the store of purchase with your receipt for a replacement.
Thanks, Rinnai Australia
Hi, my heater beeps and stops by itself before it heats the room? Seems to be faulty. How can I make it work properly?
Hi Sunil kumar
There is a 7 year replacement warranty on the heater if you believe the unit is faulty. Our technical team may be able to help with instructions on the unit on 1300 555 545 option 3.

Hi, My electric panel heater appears to be faulty, it beeps randomly for a tilt warning. I no longer have proof of purchase, would the Harvey Norman store where I purchased it still exchange under 7 year warranty?
Thanks for the question Jess D, We would suggest returning the heater back to the place of purchase as they may have a record of your receipt and providing the heater is within the 7 year warranty period, this will be replaced under warranty.
Thanks, Rinnai Australia
I used the link that you provided for a previous customer (above) but could not find the manual for a Rinnai 22. Could you either clarify where I can down load that or send it to my email address? My e-mail is [email removed] Thank you!

I have a deph22dtw model and I cant use it anymore because when I turn it on, it randomly keeps beeping (tilt warning). It is so annoying. This is already a replacement as the first one was extremely noisy.

Brand new heater, the tilt warning alarm keeps going off without any movement or even touching of the unit. Any suggestions on why or how to fix this? It is in my baby's room and the alarm will go off in the middle of the night for no reason.
Hi Christie
I have no idea why the alarm goes off. I’d suggest you contact the vendor and/ or return the unit as its new.
Cheers
Either the cut out ball is stuck or that circuit switch has failed, only thing I can suggest is remove it from the wall and shake it around turn it upside down and retry it back on the wall. Or buy a better heater like a noriot heater.
Thank you for the review Christie. Please return your panel heater to the place of purchase for either an exchange or a full refund.
you do not seem to be able to answer the question how much does the 1500 watt panel heater cost to run per hour?
Because I don’t know, it just does the job by heating up the room all day all night...
Thanks for the question Wano, there are too many variables to be able to answer this question for you. It will depend on the initial temperature of the room, size of the area to be heated and the costs charged by your electricity company.
Going off Nobo heaters set to 21deg back 8 years ago it was 31c per hour, with the high cost of power today I would say around 45-55c per hour on a 1500w panel.
Just wondering about the running costs for the 1500 watt panel heater please?
Should be 1.5 kw per hour then depending how much you pay per Kw so could be 28 cents approx
Thank you for the question Belinda B,
As a guide, the 1500 watt panel heater will use 1.5Kw per hour on a high setting. This usage can then be calculated against your Energy Retailer's tariff rate.
Thanks, Rinnai Australia.
How much does a Electric Rinnai heater per HR
(Which one is the cheaper (electric heater)?
2200 watt is 2.2 kw per hour
