I have the steam central station RHST 102 and the cord seems to get very hot and water drips out on my clothes when I iron. How can I fix this problem?

The last time I got them I had to go to the Australian agent (Spectrum Brands) for them, and pay for them including postage. I need to buy more soon and will be heading there myself.

We recently purchased the the above product. The issue we are having is that when using the steam iron we get water shooting through onto the clothes? Is this common or are we doing something wrong. The instruction booklet does not have a trouble shooting section. Any help would be appreciated as if this is common we will be returning the product for a refund?

Hi, I have previously had a steam iron (different brand)...when this occurred it was due to 1. the temp dial too low to produce steam 2. use a steam boost too soon...steam iron for a while before give it a boost shot,

3. when starting to iron, the hose has not warmed up yet. So use over a cloth to express the steam which has condensed in hose. once expired & hose warmed, steam function fine.

Thus generally, its because you haven't let it heat enough initially before activating the steam function. hope this helps. :-)
