When the machine is turned off, it emits a very quiet - but regular - beep from behind the control panel facia. It has taken months to pinpoint the source of the noise in our bathroom but we found it quite by chance this afternoon. We can't find any reference to this issue in the manual but a quick web search shows a lot of other people have experienced the same problem. No satisfactory explanation has been provided in response to their queries and it seems getting a technician out is the best course of action. This seems an expensive (and inconvenient for those don't work from home) first step given the machine operates perfectly otherwise. Does anyone here know the cause of the problem? Is it a faulty chip?

Hi. My washing machine is putting rust spots on our clothes after a wash. I’ve cleaned the washing machine, checked the water tab and nothing stuck in the tub. I also have done 3 tub cleans. We have a Simpson SW12743 Front Loader.
I went through this with my Simpson front loader a few years back and some good clothes were ruined. It's caused by old fabric softener and you need to remove it all from your machine. Washing machine cleaning tablets are useless against it and you have to do it by hand. As well as wiping the whole inside and seal clean of fabric softener you'll need cotton buds to clean around every little hole inside the tub that's made of plastic, especially the main filter/drain area.
2 cups of vinegar put into your tub and run a short wash cycle, works well to remove scum (Run the Machine empty for this )
As above vinegar dbl strength but Drew didnt say add table spoon of Bi Carb Soda run in hot wash cycle then tub clean cycle remove dispensary draw wash in your sink put back in.
Hi team, my trusty machine unfortunately is having a similar problem to some questions here. When I select the cycle it does not start. It clicks a couple of times and locks but does not start the load. May I please have some help as I rely on this machine. Thank you

Usually happens if out of balance like top loaders if you have say heavy towel with a cpl light items just add another towel. Balance your clothing in your head before you wash. Modern washers have sensors everywhere often it's just simple things. Good Luck. Call Simpson not electrolux or someone local appliance repair mob if problem persits

When try to press off button the machine will not turn off
Hold down when turn off at the wall does nothing the memory chip remembers where it is.

My elderly Mum had this machine installed yesterday from Bing Lee. Tried it today. Only cold water connected with a hose not sure why. Do you need hot water tap connected to machine to get temperature water above cold? If so we will complain to Bing Lee to come back and install properly.
Mine is a model or so before and it also only has the cold connection. The hot washes are hot too so must have an element in it

Colds correct default. It auto heats water if you choose a warm hot temp wash. Like dishwashers hot water connection damaged hoses washers and internal parts. Your units were installed correctly

Hi. It's been few months that the softener dispenser is not working. i.e. softener stays in the drawer ... we noticed that the softener cap(?) is not there. Can that be the reason of why it's not working?

Thanks for your reply. It's normally mentioned more about cleaning. But if that has been done, not having a cap will impact at all?
Hi all, hoping you can assist. Although the hose is connected to cold tap and I select cold setting my clothes always come out super hot. What am I missing? Thanks

How do you locate and empty lint catcher?
There isn't one. I've searched also, and Simpson states "technically" the newer front loaders do not require a filter as they are more gentle on clothes. Although, there is an option to clean out the hose and/or pump connection from behind. Hope this helps :)
