Sunbeam Solus Digital Resilium SR7000 Questions & Answers
Verifiedhow to fit back water cap thats has come off
Hi Peter, is it broken? & when did you purchase it?. Thanks
I'm looking for a new iron. I can't imagine that it will be so difficult to make this choice! Recently, I've read a good review of the best irons at the external link As review said Rowenta DW5080 is the best iron. I like this iron but it's very expensive for me. What can you say about this iron? What model of the iron is cheeper than Rowenta DW5080 but has similar safety features with it?
Hi I have never owned a Rowenta so can't comment. Since my trouble with Sunbeam irons, I switched to a Phillips and am very happy. Sorry can't be more help. Jenny
My Sunbeam Solus digital has died, used once a week. Well looked after, but just stopped. Is this a common fault?
I found the Sunbeam Solus digital to be fairly reliable except for the water leakage and the fact that I had to leave it at the highest temperature for most fabrics, too. What really annoyed me is that there is no repair service for this product. Mine was leaking so much water, I couldn't use it but the rest of the iron looked like new. I can only speak about my iron, so not much help. Mine didn't just stop when other functions had been working well. Hope there are other owners who can add more info. You may have to do as other owners do when it stops - throw it away and add to landfill. Next time maybe buy a Philips. They have a repair service! Jenny
Only recently purchased our Solus iron (2 weeks ago and was working OK). While ironing casual and business shirts on Cotton setting, the faceplate seemed to stick on one of the shirts. After stopping ironing and turning off switch. Waited a little while then turned iron back on, however, the light showed Red which I understand indicates the iron is too hot for the setting (although no digital setting was showing). After turning the iron off again and letting the iron cool down, when turning the iron back on it shows Orange however does not heat up. Does anyone know how to fix this? or do we need to talk to Sunbeam?
Hi Josephine I had almost the same problem and ended up returning the iron. I had to argue quite forcefully as it was an intermittent problem and I couldn't replicate it to order. But it kept happening. So return it to where you purchased it and good luck. Sunbeam should be aware by now that it is a problem with this iron.
Hi Josephine, could you please contact our Consumer Support Team on 1300 881 861 for troubleshooting when you are with your iron.
