I have a large gy6 style .motor. I was told it was a 250cc maybe 300cc? Below the cvt cover where engine imprint code is, it has MH708000. There is a SYM on the side of the valve cover. I can't find any other identifying marks on it. Can anyone help???

Could be that it needs a new coil. I now cover it with a heavy duty cover overnight and do not have this Problem anymore, but my scooter got a new coil one year ago and a new starter motor 6 months ago.

My Sym VS150 oil light comes on regularly although the oil level is perfectly fine. Is this forcing me to take the bike in for a service (which I had not long ago), can I turn the light back to green somehow or do I simply ignore it? Any help is much appreciated.

The oil change indicator is linked to the odometer and trips red after 1000kms. To make it green, push the ignition key into the small rectangular hole under the dash.
