Hi Irene, I haven't used it for face washing, but it is a plant based product, so will be fine I should imagine. I did ring the company (its in Brisbane as am I) & the man says he uses if for washing his hair too because he has psoriasis in his scalp but he uses if for washing instead of soap. (Not all the time only when its bad). Apparently, many hospitals use it too especially for the elderly & burns repair too. I have been using it for many years & will not use anything else. I have tried many other moisture creams, but as Vegesorb goes in very quickly (so not greasy), I find the product does last & can see the results straight away. Winter I use it every night after my shower, & I don't scrimp. Hot humid summer Dec, January I use it about every 3 nights & it seems to make my wrinkly skin not look so bad. You could send the company an email and ask them too.

Oh, & its not petrolumim based which is very important to me

I but the 1 kg large bottle & put a pump in it (I got from some other product when it was finished), so I can get it out quickly to cover arms, legs, neck & body in winter.

I love Vegesorb! I have Seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea. I use Vegesorb for cleansing and moisturising, it's the only product my skin will tolerate and keeps the inflammation at bay.
