Hi John D, thanks for your question. We have discontinued selling the ‘new’ formula and reverted back to the ‘original’. Our recommendation would be to ask your local pharmacy directly if they still have any ‘new’ formula on hand. If not, this means the ‘new’ formula is no longer available.

I personally contacted Thursday Plantation and they acted like it was news to them. But when I pointed out that on the internet were complaints about their product causing severe skin reactions, that I found it highly unlikely that others had not contacted them about it like myself I never heard from them again. It was a standard rehearsed response as was the standard response of ignoring the customer when the jig was up and they knew it wasn't washing with them. I was treated like an idiot basically.

I am not surprised in the slightest that it's their reaction to your complaint. These companies dont care that people are having allergies to their product...they just care about making money. All you can really do is post on the major Australian websites that sell this product and be truthful about what your experience was...unless you want to go down the road of taking legal action. I personally am going to be a lot more careful about what I put on my skin from now on...read more reviews before I buy anything...and I will be 100% contacting the company for an explanation. Just wondering how long it took for the affects to go away. I too am a victim of this ridiculous gel. It should be discontinued

I got the same problem here! I am allergic to the new formula! My face turned red and felt like burning right after I used it, which was never the case for the old version. I really wonder what element has been added into this “new formula”. I miss the old version so much, that was one of my favorite skincare product. :(

Both myself and my partner used the ‘new formula’ version of this product today and our skin turned red & blotchy in all areas it was applied - for a product that’s supposed to help with redness we’re rather confused! Have never used this brand before but have never had issues with other Aloe Vera products / brands - very strange!

I am so angry with the formula change. I apply the Aloe gel after I shave as I have always had very sensitive skin. Thursday Plantation was a godsend when I first encountered it. Using it for shaving, mozzie bites and burn. BUT NOW... when I apply the new formula I break our in a severe heat rash type reaction, including areas where you don't shave like your forehead. I am more annoyed as I (1) have to stop using something I love now in favour of the Banana Boat brand (which smells like an old taxi cab) ... and (2) as I had only just discovered the larger pump pack. If you're reading this Thursday Plantation congratulations on screwing up what used to the best product on the market.
