Toro 22" Personal Pace All Wheel Drive 20353 Questions & Answers
VerifiedWhy is it so heavy/hard to backwards.
I think its to do with the gears that drive the wheels, they dont de-clutch. Its not very maneuverable!!...its good in straight lines and slow curves
Ran over a small dogs bone, the engine back fired twice and stopped. Plenty of fuel, clean air filter, plug lead is on. Used it 3 times on a small yard. Refuses to start. Any ideas.
Hi Guys I just brought this new Toro Mower. However if the lawn is just a little wet and long it clogs up instantly, yesterday it stopped every 10 seconds. Is there anything I can do to improve the power. I also noticed the rear discharge is only half the size of standard mowers, wouldn't it perform better if it were fully open to the catcher? Cheers
Sadly you mistake was buying one...
Not many mowers will handle long wet grass as it just sticks to the side. Sometimes I leave my grass too long...this mower has the most height settings I have ever seen. Go with the highest setting and take "half a bite" at a time...good luck.
I think it has a lot to do with the safety the guard at the front and the guard at the back makes it difficult to mow I think it would handle much better with the guards removed I don't recommend this
I have a TORO recycle 22, every 5 min stop and i have to pull it to start again, i dont have long grass and it doesn't matter what setting i have it , it needs to be pull to start again
Why do the Early reviews how glowing recommendations yet recent ones are extremely poor. Has Manufacturingfh moved offshore? E.g. Gary
It seems to be the way with a lot of reviews. I think the quality is just not what it used to be and getting worse with most products these days.
I got mine about a year ago. It works great!!....but it is a very specific mower....if you need something easily moveable....search elsewhere I can recommend. If I had my time again i would get a smaller cut..
G'day Mitch - _ its been a year since you posted. Do you still feel the same about your mower? I have a 1425sqm block and also have quite a bit of sloping ground so my situation is similar. I had thought about a John Deere but they dont get a good review here.
How has your Toro been the last 12 months?
Regards
Peter
Hi Peter! Still totally happy with the Toro. I took it in for a yearly service a few months ago (couldn't be bothered doing it myself), but have had no problems at all. Starts easy every time, and has gone through everything I've thrown at it. I use the side chute on larger areas (a lot of comparable mowers didn't have a side chute), it's a lot easier than emptying the catcher frequently, or using the mulcher function all the time (which apparently is bad for your grass if overdone?). Couldn't recommend it more!
Thanks Mitch - Its all pointing toward a Toro purchase this weekend. I'll go and see them for a test drive. I appreciate your input.
