My Uniden monitor has gone white, I can still hear my kids in there rooms but have no picture? What can I do to fix this?

This happens to me to. Uniden Customer support has been absolutely hopeless. They keep telling me to reset the system… but that doesn’t work at all.

I only just brought this monitor and all of a sudden it doesn’t connect to my daughters room where the camera is and it won’t connect to my monitor that is in my bedroom.

I have purchased a secondhand uniden baby monitor and the screen is white, my hubby managed to fix it but baby got hold of it and has gone back to white and hubby cannot remember how he fixed it the first time

I have just purchased the Uniden 3102 with 2 cameras. I received it today & it’s the first night I’m using it.

Camera 1 works fine but there is a lot of static coming through on camera 2 & the green lights on the monitor are flashing like crazy. When I go into the room its completely quiet, no noise, no fan on, I can’t see anything that could be interfering.

Any ideas why I’m getting static & how I can resolve it???

Hi Cody, No I haven’t had this resolved as yet but I did email Uniden customer service. Hopefully I get a response soon, the static noise is driving me crazy lol

Hi Jeanette I also got told to email them and then have been told to send my camera in for repairs. But at risk that I'll be charged almost the same price as the camera is worth if they deem there to be nothing wrong with it?

Also @uniden would be super helpful if you could ever put suggestions or quick fixes on these questions rather than directing everyone to email you, so that others might get their issues resolved more easily..

Hi, when my monitor is set on camera 1, the sound light signals on the left of the screen are lighting up as if there is sound in the room when there isn't. I have camera 2 set up in the same room facing a different direction and the lights don't flash...there doesn't seem to be any issues with the sound, just the light signals??

Hi Danielle, Can you please try the following steps to see if it will rectify the issue? Reset the camera (Behind the camera is a hole you can push a pin through) Reset the monitor (Behind the monitor is a hole you can push a pin through) Pair the camera back to the monitor If still not working, please reset through Factory Reset settings.

I have reset both and tried the factory reset and the light signals continue to move even when there is no sound. In addition the camera feels slightly warmer then the other.

Hi Rebecca, You can adjust the brightness level for each camera through the System Menu. Press the MENU/OK button to access system menus Press the MENU/OK button on the option 'System' Use the Vol down arrow button to scroll down to the option 'Brightness' Press the MENU/OK button to select Use the left and right CH buttons to increase or decrease the brightness level Press the MENU/OK button to save the setting and return to the main System options The new brightness level displays the next time you are in Live view

Is there a way to have the sound only turn on over a threshold? My monitor continually plays audio and picks up my white noise and won’t turn off even when I change the vox threshold

Regarding VOX, can someone explain how it works as I’m a new owner and am throughly confused with the settings.

I have put VOX setting to high. Do I need to have the recording setting on too? I rang Uniden and they say it needs movement (not sound) to turn the screen on. I was moving in front of the camera to test it and making noise to no avail. It just seems temperamental? Any ideas? Both cameras the same hence why I think I’ve set something up wrong.

I have just brought a uniden baby monitor with the two cameras from job hi-fi and to get video on my phone it says I need a app dock and download the app which is a extra $50 from the uniden website. It says you can connect to the cameras anywhere in the world. I’m wondering do I need the app dock or is there any other way to get on phone and if my mum and dad were wanting vision of bubs on their phone do we all need a app dock or can use the same one? And how do I set it up?

As far as I’m aware you have to have the dock. I didn’t actually purchase it for my monitor so I’m not sure how tobsulet it up, but I’m sure if you phone Uniden’s customer support they’d be able to guide you through the process.

I am trying to add a device on the app for my phone. And the uem number says it needs 20 numbers but the one on my device is only 12... any ideas?

You need to purchase the app dock to pair your app with the device. Load of shi$ really as this is not stated in the user manual or upon purchase or in any marketing campaigns

Hi, I have the bigger one with 2 cameras. Can anyone tell me if you can disable scan mode? I'd like it to behave as if it only has 1 camera... but it cycles through both even though the 2nd one isn't connected. It emits noise/static continually while doing this. I want it to stay on 1 camera & go to "sleep" with only the Vox function setting it off. Thank you.

Press the right arrow button to stop the scan (when you see the correct camera view).

Thanks, but that doesn't work. After the device goes to sleep or I press the "on" button, it reverts back to scanning. I want the option of turning scanning off. For now I've found out how to turn the second camera off & am using it as an individual monitor. But when bubs#2 is born that isn't really going to help me.

Hi did you work out how to do this? I'm having the same issue, using two cameras. We specifically upgraded from the Oricom (which also did this) because we read online that with this monitor you could turn off scan mode even with two cameras. So annoyed! It was very expensive!

Hello, no I could not turn the scan mode off permanently, unfortunately. I turned off the second camera (via the monitor) so it functions as a single camera, and no longer scans. But this totally defies the point of buying a dual-camera device! Ridiculous. So now I just use two separate monitors and thankfully they don't interfere with one another.

Is anyone else's parent monitor continually transmitting sound? We have VOX and power save mode activated but even after the LCD turns off (2mins) sound is still transmitted. It's quite annoying at night time as it's right next to my bed and all I hear is static/sound - and I can hear it switch between the two cameras.

Yes, it does this. If you think of it like an audio monitor that is constantly on with video only when above a sound threshold. You do get used to it.

Just wondering if anyone else's monitor is beeping? Two quick little beeps. It's enough to disturb my sleep and hear it.

I think that means it loose the signal from the cam....so it is trying to tell you to that the signal is lost. Try to extend the aerial or re position it so not too much barrier between the cam and the receiver.

How do you connect it to Skype?

Full instructions are in the manual but simply set up a new Skype account for the monitor, then connect it to your router. You can then Skype it from your mobile device.
