Xiaomi Viomi V2 Pro Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi, my viomi had just stopped vacuuming, the wifi connection is fine, the map is correct, the automation works. when it starts, the device starts to move and the little rotating thing is rotating. All except actual vacuuming, there isnt a vacuuming sound at all.
Help please.
My vacuum function is working fine but when I try and do the 2-1 mop or the mop function, my robot says ‘no mop installed.’ I’ve attached the plate and changed the tanks. Any suggestions?
hi recently i got viomi v2 pro, but when connected to docking, always have notification starting to charge, pls help me
Same here it would be apreciated if there's an answer.
Did you fix a problem?
Hi, when trying to add my device to new wifi, It cannot find Viomi as a network. If I try directly through wifi connections, it is seen, but when trying to add the device to app (mi-home), it is not seen. I can only pick my home wifi, which is not correct and therefore cannot add the device. Please help
both of our water tanks do not let water out, when filling at the sink they used to slowly drip, and after installing would mop fine, but now not a drop of water comes out of both of them
I did not use the mop
My Viomi V2 just randomly decides to fall asleep mid-clean. The only way i can wake it up is by pressing the power button, and then it begins a whole house clean from scratch again, rather than continuing the randomly interrupted clean it was doing.. Any ideas?
I had same issue then i returned it. Couldnot get solved
Have you checked to see if you can get an software update? Sounds like it is glitching
Hi, we have purchased a Viomi V2 and cannot add a device to the app. We have tried in multiple locations, including next to the wifi modem with no luck. Help please. Thanks
I have taken screenshots to share with you but unfortunately I can't see where to add them so I'll try to say it. When you click the app in the top right corner did you press the plus sign then it should say connect to Wi-Fi device so you say yes so it can connect Of course you have to make sure that you're robot is fully charged plugged in at the power point and On The Dock. Then you choose out of the list of devices cleaning then you should see all of the different types then you press the one that you have and they should communicate with each other let me know how you go please if this is no good you are welcome to send me your email I'll send you the screenshot photos
Do you have the right app? There are two apps from Xiaomi. One is called, "Viomi Robot" and the other is called "Mi Home", from memory, it was the Mi Home app that worked with the directions from the box/manual. It is a bit tricky and make sure you're connected to 2.4GHz not 5GHz frequency on your phone's wifi.
Hi all, I've noticed that my vacuum keeps deregistering from my phone. Any idea what I maybe doing wrong?
Sorry I'm not sure why this is it hasn't happened to me have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it and logging in? I'm just wondering if that might help My other thought was is your vacuum connected to any other devices this might be causing a problem I only have my mobile phone another thing do you have any other devices with mi home ap such as lights or any other things
why the product keep pushing back the docking cradle and bounce it out all the time until power run out. Unavailable charging automatically. Had to turn off the machine and put it by hand. Worse is can not create a map on the app because failed at docking back at end of charging step.
Are you sure you have your dock against a wall or somewhere that is secure? I have not had this problem at all mine is just pushed up against something and it doesn't wriggle or move around another idea can be to secure your power cord so putting it under something so that doesn't move around it needs to be secure
You can put it against a wall, mine does it to, so I put non-slip pads under it, not very good, if you put it against a wall, it would be much better.
Does the V2 Pro now support multiple maps ? I live in a house with 2 levels and I need scanning of both floors.
I've just bought one, i haven't used that function but yes it will store multiple maps
My VIOMI V2 Pro was working properly until about 2 months ago. Suddenly it stopped recognizing the 550 ml water tank. The dust tank and the 2+1 tank continue to work properly. I bought a second water tank 550ml from VIOMI, but this did not help. Any idea about how to deal with that?
Did you fix the problem occasionally I have noticed I have not put my tank or dustbin incorrectly and the lid on but I guess it's probably a bit more complicated than that for you
I have tried everything I think possible, including water problems (putting a gummy from the water tank to the mop); I have also bought a new tank. The 500 ml water tank is not recognized by the robot and does not work. I have abandoned.
Hey, have you tried cleaning out the dust bin / water tank connectors with alcohol wipes? and the space where they go also needs cleaning from time to time.
Yes. I have done it another time today. But it does not help. Remember, it happened all at a sudden. All the other tanks (dust only, dust+water-250 ml) are recognized. It means that I hear a voice from the robot when I put those tanks in place. I have also bought a second only water tank. Both water tanks are not recognized by the robot. I think it might only be explained by a problem specific for an only water tank piece or component inside the robot. If you could find the solution, I would very much appreciate. Anyway thanks a lot for helping me.
Hi, is there any fix for this? I think its an update issue my water tank was never in use and it doesnt recognize it.
Was looking at getting this vacuum, and was wondering if anyone could tell me if you have to have a wifi modem? Was hopping it could be used just of my phone hotspot? Thanks
Yes. Weird thing is when I spoke to someone they said to me I didn't but that wasn't true you do need Wi-Fi I just got pocket Wi-Fi I pay about $10 a month more maybe $15 I can't remember now but I use my vacuum robot heaps and it does mopping as well I never have to clean it anymore and the house is so clean it is made my life so much better and I feel happy because I hate mess I suggest buying it is very good
Hi Michael, I bought the same unit a few weeks ago. Quite happy with the functionality on the whole but I am struggling to get the set up on the mobile. Everytime time I try to pair the device with the router, it fails . The message said 'connection to router timeout'. Could you assist me with the set up?
Tina
I had this problem aswell to start with and I believe it was because where I was setting it up had poor wifi connection. I think the antenna on the robot isn't as strong as a phone. I moved the robot closer to my wifi point to do the setup and it then worked fine. Once I put it back to where i originally set it up it continued to work fine but I did also add an additional wifi access point to that room as I always had issues with wifi connections at the back of my house with other devices.
Thanks Michael. I still have the problem even when I moved the vacuum within a metre from the router/modem . I will try to re-install again later.
