Do you find the freezer drawer opening a pain? Does stuff get lost in the deep drawer? I don’t like the idea of the pull out door but I think it’s the best option for the space we have, so just after some opinions from experience.

Not a pain at all, but it does require some getting used to. We bought this fridge for its reverse design as I have a bad hip and bending down/over into the fridge part was quickly becoming a painful task. There is a lot of space in the bottom large drawer, so we store all the bulky products there. Frozen veggies and any items in bags go in the middle and the top one can store quite a bit of frozen meat. We do buy our meat etc fresh and don't freeze, so maybe factor this into your decision-making. The ice tray is of poor design but I personally can live with that and I still have no regrets at all :)

I’m the wrong person to answer this as I simply wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. We had three fridges in six years and ended up buying a Fisher and Paykel.

The freezer handle came off yesterday. One of the plastic handle supports needs replacing. Where can I get one.

Our freezer handle broke off recently 29 months after purchase. W’ty is 24 months. Westinghouse advised new door needed as one of the small plastic attaching lugs is broken. New door $245 + handling + $150 for installation. (can’t be done by homeowner.)
Very disappointing.

Contacted Westinghouse again - may have been on different number to first time. Matter resolved in very helpful and satisfactory manner.

The top part of my fridge has stopped operating. No coldness at all. Freezer was playing up and ice blocks were defrosting.... but seems to be working again. The top is still not working. For the past week the fridge has been beeping every single night at the worst times (3am). Such a nightmare to stop working right now when it's 40 degrees tomorrow! Any advice.

I just had Electrolux come out and replace a part and then I was told to do a forced defrost overnight by turning the fridge off, emptying the entire fridge and freezer overnight and leaving the fridge and freezer open. It worked. Lost $300 worth of groceries in the lead up not very happy about that - it’s under 2 years old so I’m going to ask for compensation. Good luck !

My Westinghouse Fridge freezer model number WHE5200SA beeps about 10 to 15 times per hour. Everything seems to be working ok otherwise. I don't know why this alarm keeps going off. Are there any solutions to this?

Mine beeps like that when I haven't closed the door properly maybe the door switch is playing up or maybe the doors aren't closing correctly Just a suggestion.

My fridge is now about 16 months old. The freezer dose not work at all and the top is no getting as cold even with the temp set at its lowest. Reading the questions I am not the only one with the same problem!
What can be done to help get the thing working? Pity it was such a good fit to my kitchen, except for the noise.
Thanks, Gary T.

We have the same problem! No cold air on the top shelf ! Owned it for 18 months and suddenly there’s no cold air on the top shelf where we usually store all our yoghurts!!!! Hot yoghurt. Disgusting. Apart from the freezer handle falling off and a few bits of mystery plastic flying off the fridge from time to time. Now it’s nit even keeping food cool. Worst design ever.

We're considering this fridge. It only has one "crisper" draw. Our current fridge has multiple so we can have a "meat" drawer and a vege drawer.... How do people deal with that configuration? I assume you wouldn't want to put meat and vegetables in the same drawer ??

It’s a dreadful fridge. The crisper is Clunky and doesn’t open or close easily. Only has the one crisper compartment which I hate!

Don't use the shelves with the fingers, or as we did, take the fingers off the shelf.

Can the door shelves be removed?

All the door shelves can be removed from the door and have a number of differently placed slots in both fridge doors so the various shelves can be placed at different positions, very handy if you have items that are varying in sizes and height.

We recently purchased a Westinghouse French door fridge and so far are very happy. However, we had a small accident and broke the freezer handle mounting blocks, they are small plastic fittings held on with one screw. I am shocked to find out that this part is not available and that a full set of three handles is the only part available at about $300. This is disgraceful as the plastic part would only cost a few dollars. Can you please help me even if it means sourcing a second-hand part. thanks, Michael.

I've not encountered this problem so I can only sugest that maybe its not sealing properly when closing the freezer .Check that the rollers on the freezer are still in the proper position. Otherwise I call the service centre for advice.

Thank you, Cinders2. I have checked pretty much everything I could but couldn't find anything wrong with the set up etc. ended up calling a fridge tech. The unit needs to be changed as it "lacks gas".
