What sub-woofer do you recommend for this Yamaha MCR-N670? M thanks

With the standard speakers I didn’t run a subwoofer and actually had the bass turned down a bit. That said I have since replaced standard speakers with Castle Richmond and Castle Compact Sub. Sounds much better to my ears as I always thought the standard speakers were a bit muddy sounding. Castle’s are much clearer.

My personal opinion is that the Yamaha is excellent for smaller rooms and would not need a subwoofer. Perhaps if you use it as a surround system with more MusicCast speakers it might be worth while, but remember that it is not designed for this and you wouldn't get different sound signals going to each speaker. Hope this helps.
