The Drive The e-POWER drivetrain is genuinely impressive — smooth, quiet, and instant torque from a standstill. It really does feel like driving an EV without the range anxiety. The e-4ORCE AWD system gives you serious confidence in the wet, and the five drive modes cover everything from eco commuting to light off-road. Fuel economy in real-world Brisbane driving sits around 6.0–6.5L/100km, comfortably close to Nissan's official 6.1L claim. ProPILOT+ and the 360-degree surround camera are genuinely useful day-to-day.
The Frustration My biggest disappointment is how far behind this car is on connected technology for a $52,758 flagship purchased in September 2025. There is no NissanConnect app support — my VIN is not recognised by the system. There are no over-the-air software updates. Navigation maps were nearly 3 years out of date at first service and I had to research and perform the USB update entirely myself — the dealer at Village Nissan North Lakes had no idea how to help, and neither did the selling dealer Bartons Wynnum. Every competitor at this price point — Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda — offers seamless app connectivity and OTA updates as standard. Nissan then launched the MY26 X-Trail just 5 months after my purchase with full Connected Car Services as standard. This was never disclosed at point of sale. Future buyers should be very aware of this significant limitation before signing.
Positives:
EV-like e-POWER drivetrain — genuinely outstanding Real world 6.0–6.5L/100km fuel economy 10-year / 300,000km warranty — best in class Excellent 360-degree surround camera e-4ORCE AWD grip and stability ProPILOT+ semi-autonomous highway driving Panoramic sunroof and leather interior $399 flat service price for first 5 services
Negatives:
No NissanConnect app support on MY25 No OTA software updates — USB only Navigation maps 3 years out of date at delivery MY26 superseded connected features just 5 months later Dealer network has no knowledge of software/tech support No spare tyre — puncture repair kit only Cold-start engine rattle (normal but noticeable) Standard 6-speaker audio is weak for the price
Verdict A genuinely brilliant car to drive — the e-POWER system is unlike anything else at this price point and the 10-year warranty is outstanding. However, in 2025/26 a $52,758 flagship SUV without app connectivity, OTA updates, or a dealer network that can support these basics falls significantly short of the competition. If you are considering the MY25, negotiate hard on price given the MY26 with full connected services is now available for only slightly more. The drive alone is worth it — but go in with eyes open on the technology gap.

Bought two new Nissan Navaras end of Feb last yr under my business...one for myself, one for my husband. There was a great 1% finance deal.. This year… Read more
went to get it's scheduled service, back in Early May only to find.massive oil leak..I cannot even begin to tell the story I live a 275klm round trip to closest Nissan dealership...Nissan looked at the vehicle once.. which.eant closing my small business for the day ..loss of trading..driving a 130klm there.to be told ...not sure what's wrong with it...130klms home... An appointment was made to have the car for whole day to asses again...once again close my shop, fuel money loss of trading..only to be told they'd gurnied it to spot where the leak was coming from...there was a profuse amount if oil...undercarriage was covered and wherever I parked there would be oil drips...I was told "come back in 1000klms" I had also noted a clunking in my steering wheel during this time and steering didn't feel 'right' I had informed them. 300klms in I rang them and said look my steering doesn't feel right, I had a bad feeling and my car is missing and leaking copious amounts of fuel I can't wait another 700klms to get this car looked at again for the 3rd time..fix the problem already..I had spoken to head of service at Bundaberg about my concerns, he commented well the steering issue could be a safety problem and since the car was 'missing' so I'd better bring the car back in a week later...I was fuming as it took this other call and complaining again for the to be action..once again [Content Removed] my business..loss of trading, fuel costs etc...i had to organise a lift to get back to home 135klms away and told them I was leaving the car there until they find the problem.... I got a call back following day saying they'd found the problem it was the turbo cover causing oil leak and the steering shaft replacement needed was very dangerous... essentially.. Ok....brand new car.. hahahaha ....so I wouldnt be able to get a courtesy car until Nissan had approved warranty and parts to be ordered..this took about 4 days..then parts ordered ..essentially two weeks no car..no transport to get back home or back to pick the car up..another day I closed my business..Note..this was now not only effecting my business earnings, essentially my money to live off and pay bills but my reputation and reliability... So U picked up the car thinking everything was all fixed...hahah. I was told the turbo cover got replaced and hose and steering shaft or something the like..anyway...as in this time I moved and parked on grass covered driveway..I was unaware of any oil leaks I got the vehicle back end of May....I'd only done 2500klms since then until October when... Id gone down to the GC a 7hr drive sth for my son's birthday, I noticed it was "missing" on the way down.. I gave a friend a lift to the airport...I noticed oil on the ground where I parked....

but frustration—multiple calls and emails ignored, and when they did respond, the staff were rude and completely unhelpful. This company clearly does not value its customers, especially at the point of account closure. The level of service was unprofessional and unacceptable. Easily one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this company to anyone

declining sales.
Buyer beware of the 2026 XTrail product information. Their specs and marketing campaign are full of errors, and if buying a Ti model, your car will not look like the dealerships have it pictured.
3 months ago we noticed the error in their campaign and notified Nissan. They refuse to acknowledge us. The Nissan Australia has since updated their imaging on their website but not their spec sheet or product brochure. Many dealerships are still advertising the wrong car. DO NOT BUY based off any published information or images.

clutch, alternator, battery and EGR replaced. Cruise control stopped working at about 130000km. Electrical wiring issues with brake and headlight constantly blowing. Timing chain replaced 18 months ago at nearly $2700. I’ve only kept it due to using it to tow horse float but no Longer have any trust in this vehicle to not break down in traffic while towing so it’s pretty much useless now. My mechanic refuses to repair it now as he says I’m just wasting my money. Too much blow by in engine. It’s now occasionally going into limp mode and error code of camshaft position sensor. Plastic trim around console peeling and arm rests also. Just going through all my receipts and I’ve spent close to $22,000 in repairs (not including services) It’s done 290,000km now and can’t wait to send it to the scrap heap.

It's the last of its kind, and if you care about your fuel bill, that's a good thing. The Patrol Warrior is a great out-of-the-box experience for… Read more
those looking for a fully built and engineered 4WD built to factory standards. With help from Premcar, these Nissan Patrols look, drive and sound better than the standard Patrol.
If you're lucky enough to have not bought one early, Nissan have even updated the interior to finally move the Patrol's insides out from the late 2010's. The new screen and instrument cluster make a world of a difference in day-to-day liveability.
It's a car for those who know they need the space, the capacity and the power. It's an awesome option if you plan to spend a lot of time away from the road and big cities. It also doubles as a far more affordable V8 powered alternatives to a Defender V8 or G63 AMG.
The trade-off is the fuel bill. It's massive. You're required to fill with premium to extract all the performance you pay for from the naturally aspirated 5.6L petrol V8 too. The rolling resistance from the all-terrain tyres and ancient auto gearbox increases your fuel consumption compared to some more modern rivals. And it doesn't help that this car is functionally a brick in the world of aerodynamics.
It's a reliable and easy to live with 4x4 for those who can afford to park and fuel. If you're short on European 4x4 SUV money, it's a logical choice if you're chasing V8 power and sounds. Otherwise, it's really a statement piece for those who don't use the Patrol to its full off-road potential.

Driven over 11000km without any issues. I still have 100km + range showing( not tested) and l still recommend buying one, although they are starting to get rare now. If you have the ability to drive short distances and then return home to top up, you will rarely notice the range limitation. Super easy, reliable and fun.
Recently purchased a 2014 Japanese Autech variant of the Leaf. So far, l am very very happy with my purchase. l bought it with 9 bars of battery (70.70% SOH) which gives me a real world range of about 90-100km. It is only for city use and this is where it excels. Its nippy, quiet and comfortable and l charge it off my solar, so motoring is essentially free. Its a car thats easy to drive, just a normal car with an electric motor. Leafs have been around a long time now and there are no real issues with the design or build quality. The battery is the weakest link but now batteries can be purchased ex China for somewhere between $4000-$15000, depending on size and its a reasonably straightforward job to replace for a competant person. My advice if buying: only buy if you can charge at home. take a Leaf owner who understands the car with you when viewing your purchase. Get an OBD11 wifi dongle and the Leafspy app. Batteries with: 9 bars + should be pretty good 6-9 bars may be ok but limited range. 6 bars or less of battery will probably need a new battery.
All in all, a great car. Don't let the naysayers talk you out of it. A fantastic city car and an affordable entry into the EV market.

Kangan Drive, Berwick.)
• 12 November 2025: Our Nissan Juke was booked in for a routine service with no existing issues or concerns. The vehicle was serviced and returned to us the same day. • While driving home immediately after the service, warning messages appeared on the dashboard: o “System Fault” o “Engine Malfunction – Power Reduced – Service Now” • We contacted the dealership straight away and returned the car to Berwick Nissan on the same day. • The dealership was unable to identify or fix the issue. Despite repeated phone calls and visits, we received little to no communication or updates. • After persistent follow-ups, the vehicle was finally returned to us on 19 December 2025. • Unfortunately, the same engine malfunction warnings reappeared again, indicating the issue was not resolved. • The vehicle was returned to the dealership once more on 30 December 2025, where the Service Manager assured us the matter would be handled urgently.
As of today ( 20th Jan,2026 ) , we are still waiting for our vehicle to be repaired and deemed safe to drive.

April 6 Mechanic testing ute
April 14 said that his ute is ready to be picked up, and would have to pay $1400 for the cost of injector testing and refit labour, and emptying fuel tank and replacing with $50 of fuel.
This whole saga and miss diagnosis from the service centre, when told this was not a fuel issue, 8 weeks ago, one would expect your supposed to be mechanic should have diagnosed before proceeding with the injector issue, This is the most disgusting rip off against my son, and your service manager does not have the courtesy to call, and should waive the cost of injector work and labour due to their misdiagnosis, fair enough to pay for draining fuel and replacing with $50 of diesel Dave Booth

Nissan Australia say, it was delivered that way from Japan. Due to emissions testing.
I refused delivery. VIN JN1GBAZ34A0240015
It felt dodgy, Nissan Australia say it was randomly chosen for emissions testing in Japan prior to delivery. When I asked how many undergo this test before they enter Australia...
"I'm not a statistician"
The dealer....yeh na, never seen it. (His already returned it as can't sell as new)
Nissan "the dealer needs to be educated"
1000% felt dodge.
Probably an awesome car. I'll never know,.
I could write to NISSAN in Japan with its VIN, prove the emissions testing is rubbish or not ..So what?
If verbal rubbish. Don't trust Nissan Australia to deliver me a new car.
