Best Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Air Conditioners

Based on 2,788 reviews

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Brand is a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Group. This multinational brand is renowned for its innovative engineering and development of electronics equipment. After venturing into the air conditioner market, Mitsubishi introduced its air conditioners to Australia in 1975.

If the name Mitsubishi sounds familiar, it might be because it has the same name as another Mitsubishi brand (Mitsubishi Electric), which also sells air conditioners – but they’re not to be mistaken. They both fall under the Mitsubishi group, yet they’re two separate companies.

Is Mitsubishi Heavy Industries a good AC brand?

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries offers a variety of air conditioners suitable for different homes and room sizes. Choosing the right air conditioner for your room is important, so it's wise to select each brand with a wide range of options - this will help facilitate finding the right airflow.

You don’t want to have to compromise by choosing between an air conditioner that’ll be too large for the room and expend too much energy, and an air conditioner that’s so small that it won’t have a far enough reach. Mitsubishi air conditioner’s offer an impressive airflow range starting from 2kW for an apartment room and reaching up to a powerful max cooling power of 20kW and max heating power of 22.3kW that’ll cater to spacious, open-plan houses.

The most popular and highly rated Mitsubishi ACs are the Bronte Series and Avanti Series, which both happen to be 2021 ProductReview Award Winners. Reviewers have been impressed with their powerful airflow capacities, quiet operations, and great value for money.

How much does a Mitsubishi air conditioner cost?

You can expect to pay anywhere from $400 to $6,500 for an air conditioner. Remember that you will also require a licensed electrician to install your air conditioner – so don’t forget to factor in those costs.

About three years ago NCG Air ( as Victorian Energy upgrades accredited installer ) and Mitsubishi Heavy industries ( Japanese quality!) came highly… Read more

recommended to me by a friend I decided to get a quote and apart from a great price I found their service was second to none. Alice , Kingsley and Pauline were fantastic in the admin area and did not miss a beat pleasant , courteous and expedient. Pauline was very sensitive to my request for an early install (as winter without heat was unbearable ) and to my surprise she was able to get the installation done within three days !!!

On the fitting side, Kenny and his young apprentice were equally pleasant and dynamic. They came, drilled holes , laid pipes etc whilst minimising mess . After the install, they cleaned up after themselves , tested the equipment and were out on their way to their next job. I have had 4 Brontë series fitted by NCG to date and I am very satisfied with their service and reliability of the units. I will continue to recommend both NCG and Mitsubishi heavy industries. Great job guys keep breaking those barriers! Thank you Con and family

I read reviews here and all those people who said it was so quiet never mentioned how operational noise is really bad. Got the 6kW Avanti and as… Read more

pointed out by another reviewer here it is the nosiest a/c I have ever experienced. When it just ticks along it is quiet but when it needs to do an operation the noise is just ridiculous. How could MHI not notice the louvre motors and high speed fan noise is pretty strange. Also no backlit remote control, even a cheap TCL has this and more. So disappointed with this purchase. Another reviewer mentioned a newer motherboard addresses some of this so I might contact MHI. I am about o buy another 6kW ac for another room but it might be Mitsubishi electric this time and seems to be the one to get.

Did my research and am not disappointed. Quick to cool. A 1-2 hour run at night keeps the room cool all night. Easy to maintain. Older units are running 7 years strong without incident. Show details

I bought the 3.3kW Mitsubishi Ciara DXK12ZTLA-WF air conditioner to cool a single room, and it does the job very well. It is incredibly quiet… Read more

compared to the ancient 2.4kW Mitsubishi unit I had before.

I recommend buying an air conditioner with a little more cooling capacity than the minimum recommended for your room size. My old unit struggled to cool the room, whereas the Ciara cools it with ease.

There are plenty of options to customise the climate control to your preference. However, the instruction manual for the remote control is absolutely useless. It is far too technical and goes right over your head, hitting the wall behind you. The task of writing the manual should have been given to a high school student who has a Ciara at home. I had to search online to learn how to operate it, picking up useful bits and pieces of information from various sources.

Another issue with Mitsubishi, as with many air conditioner manufacturers, is that you may be supplied with a remote control that does not match the user manual. Fortunately, I received the correct RLH502A001 remote.

I rated the unit five stars because no product is perfect, and the Mitsubishi Ciara 3.3kW air conditioner comes very close. I put the poor instruction manual down to bad management. It is amazing how many managers are in positions of responsibility yet still do not understand what customers actually want. A simple chart showing what the little icons on the remote's screen mean would have been useful. Spreading the icons throughout the page text and diagrams in no apparent logical order turned the process into a paper chase.

lounge room. The unit has now failed with a 6 flash fault, which is either power or PCB board fault. Pretty disappointed as the unit is just over 5 years old. Was really expecting at least a 10 year life from these.

Our house has never been the same – We live in an older house which has un-insulated walls. The 7kW aircon we had would slog it's guts out all summer and barely cool the house down.… Read more

Once we extended the house we had to move this aircon so our electrician suggested the ceiling cassette Mitsubishi at 10kW. This was a little overkill for what we needed but my goodness! The house is cool through Summer & warm as toast when we need it. I love it!
