ALDI Crofton Ceramic Chefs Knife Questions

I'm wanting to find out if there's a warranty at all on the 2pk Crofton Ceramic Knife set (1x 8 Inch & 1x 8.5 Inch, available in a few different colours), if so what type of warranty and how long for? I'm unsure when exactly I purchased mine or how much I actually paid for them but the other day as I was using my 8.5inch knife to cut a onion, all of a sudden the hilt of the blade literally just lifted straight through the handle breaking it in my hand, unfortunately as that was happening, a tiny little piece of the tip also happened to snap off and somehow flicked up off my chopping board heading towards my face, luckily I saw it and was able to avoid any possible injury from this incident.

I believe that it is possible to sharpen a ceramic knife but when they cost less than $6 why bother? I have had a bunch of aldi ceramic knives. They generally last 3 to 6 months and they have never gone blunt in that time.
