ALDI Expressi Machine Wave (2015-2020) Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi I am having trouble with my new reuseable coffee pods. The machine arm is not going down and it seems the coffee pod is not fitting what could be the problem.
Here for the same problem
Also here with the same issue. Clearly a fail by Aldi - unless it’s a good ruse to try and get us all to buy a new machine.
Have been having same issue for month's, The machine was about 5yrs old, so bought a new machine a couple of days ago, lo and behold same issue. My thoughts are the recess in the bottom of the pod is too deep and does not get pieced properly, my wife pushed a skewer though the hole no problem. This obviously a big issue, but is aldi listening or ignoring.
Wow, that must be really frustrating. I'd thought about buying a new machine myself. Perhaps we all need to buy new machines and then take them back as soon as a pod jams for a replacement. ALDI would be left with a pile of junk and then perhaps get the message that they need to fix this problem which has been going on for years.
Thanks for great info. Thought it was the machine but after reading this I re pierced the pods a bit bigger and low and behold perfect coffee. Naughty Aldi - this is a pod issue.
How to get used pods out of machine
I am about to buy an Expressi machine. My local store has the "Cube" on the shelf. Now I find out it has been discontinued. then I read that there is a later "Wave" version, once again discontinued. Can u please tell me, since it is near the end of November 2019, what chance is there of a new model soon. I dont want to buy a new machine only to find out that there is a better one just after I buy it.
Kind regards Wayne
Water / coffee was steaming hot and great at first but 6 weeks old now and definitely now warm instead of hot. Flush water through before and after use....would descaling help the lack of heat? Not used very often, 2 cups per day.
When you fill up the machine with water make sure it’s been pre-boiled (like from a kettle) but wait til the water has cooled down (don’t use hot water). Don’t ever refill with tap water. You shouldn’t need to descale if you do this!
Just use filtered water
5 years later my former Aldi machine is still kicking. Never used still water etc. In areas of hard water...maybe.
