Alpha Keri Lotion Questions & Answers
VerifiedAfter reading all these reviews and much of your website....Is this NOW exactly the old formula that I used several years ago? I do not want to invest if its nit the same.
Does alfakeri have any salycilate content
Not that I can see best to go to Alpha Keri website and ask them though.
What EXACTLY are the changes apart from bottle?
The whole formula has changed. It's more like a cheap sorbolene without any fragrance but they still charge the same !!! So disappointing and yet another example of a business changing something they didn't need to probably to improve their bottom line.
I don't work at Alpha Keri, so I don't know what they have changed, but its like buying a completely different product. It is no where near as moisturising, it smells different, and it just isn't nice anymore. I agree with Kate (above) ..... now its just like a cheap sorbolene cream - but its not cheap!
Unfortunately I don't have an old bottle with the ingredients so I can't compare which is what I wanted to do. They may have reduced/changed/water down ingredients to save money rather than keep the old formula and charge a little more if the ingredients were more expensive now. Wish we had been given the option of paying slightly more or having the change. Still have some of the previous (divided into smaller containers) and tried the two on my hands. Definately a difference and definately the aroma! Looking around for similar to old lotion.
Old ingredients: lanolin, Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Propal Hydroxybenzoate, Quaternium. New ingredients: water(Aqua), Mineral oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), PEG-40 Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Sterarate, PEG-100 Stearate, Laureth-4, Lanolin oil, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20.
I'm another 20 + year user that is moving to another moisturiser now.
You've created an inferior product Alpha Keri.
They have no lanolin at all in it. I think this may have been the silky texture and beautiful smell. Now it's full of some kind of sorbolene type stuff. Cost cutting I expect.
