Alpha Keri Oil Questions & Answers

Hi Dee. Never had any problems with Keri Oil. It has been great to control my skin when it gets itchy. It also leaves your skin nice and smooth and not oily. One thing I do sometimes is I use a bath sponge and put the Keri Oil and the Keri shower wash on the sponge. My Keri Oil has never gone rancid it just keeps my skin under control. Probably will make hair greasy but wouldn't hurt by making it an overnight treatment and washing it out next morning. I dont have sensitive skin but i find it brilliant after my shower. Instructions say to apply on wet skin but i apply after I've dabbed myself dry. It quickly gets absorbed leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Hi Sam, I think this depends on the reason why your scalp is dry and itchy and whether you still have hair or not. If the dry scalp is due to eczema or psoriasis, I think you may need other treatment but you could try Alpha Keri oil and see if it helps to improve your condition. I have used it on my nephews skin when he had eczema and it did not cause an outbreak or make it worse. From my own experience with dry itchy scalp - in my case it is caused by our local water which gives me quite severe dandruff - I find using Selsun Gold Shampoo (the active ingredient is selenium sulphide) very helpful and it usually clears it up after 2-3 washes over a week. I would be reluctant to put oil in my hair because I would not be able to manage it after that but I don't think it will cause any harm. If you happen to have no hair and your skin is just too dry without any underlying condition, it is definitely worth a try. Just remember that if you do that in the morning, you could burn more easily, so wear a hat. At night - greasy pillow? But then Alpha Keri is absorbed really well. Sorry I wouldn't know as I no longer use it since they changed it but as the previous writer wrote yr hair would probably look greasy

I don't have the answer but I'm wondering the same thing. Bring back the original smell if not I won't be buying it again after 15 years of use

I bought it from Chemist Warehouse, which is in every corner, at least in Victoria. The package I got is the same you see in the photo of the product in this website! There is no much difference with the body wash bottle or body lotion, so you have to pay attention and read the title of the product.. They are usually side by side.
