Aquaport Signature Filtered Water Cooler AQP-24CS Questions & Answers
MPN: 35904819I can’t get the filter bottle timer to work?
No cold water coming out of tap
Have you tried emptying it out, take out the filter, give it a half hour soak and then try again? Good luck. They don't have a great reputation for lasting long. We're onto our 4th cooler and only keep replacing it with Aquaport because each time we take out an extended warranty and are therefore covered for a new one.
How do I replace the battery in the lid?
•Slide a Stanley knife underneath the button pad (it’s actually a wee plastic box with a lid and the button plastic is double sided taped to it.) •Flick it out take the lid off the base of it to expose the battery •Tap the green tray out with the battery inside •push your knife gently at the battery to push it out the open end
The battery is a CR 1225 3V can also use CR 2032 3V from the local supermarket
Where can I buy spare parts as the drain plug cap under my APQ-24CS Has disintegrated after 1 months use .
The Chinese seem to be able these items and they look good but they cheapskate on every component and I for one am over it
Did you find a new drain cap ? I need one as ours has broken
How do you change the battery on the lid?
Did u find out how?
one of the water taps has stoped working, can it be fixed?
Sorry, I have no clue. Contact the manufacturer
why is the blue power light on my cooler flashing?
This often indicates that internal power supply in the unit is faulty. It seems to be a common problem. Return to the supplier, if the cooler is still under guarantee.
Water not filtering through and out if taps. Yes, black block is removed from behind the taps, it dislodged in transit. Any ideas?
I'd still ring up Aquaport. There may be a problem with it and if still under warranty, they will just replace it for you.
Aquaport want me to pay postage to send it back to them. Not going to happen.
Why can I only get water from the room temperature side and not the cooler side? Any suggestions please. Just replaced the filter.
I would be ringing up Aquaport to ask why. If it is still under warranty, they can help you better. One of mine did that and I just rang them and they were helpful.
Thanks justkaz.
To get the water working on the cold tap turn off the cooling switch... that tap has just frozen up & needs to be thawed out. I suggest only turn on during the day & have it switched off during the night & turn back on in the mornings. This should prevent the Tao from freezing over & blocking off the water flow. Hope this helps.
I have an Aquaport AQP-24cs and need to change the Filter Bottle Timer battery in the lid, has anyone out there done this ? If so, would like to know how. It appears to be a sealed unit and its got me stuffed how to remove so battery can be replaced
I'd be ringing Aquaport to ask them. It doesn't say in the book anything about replacing the battery so maybe they send you a new top with new battery. Will be interested to see what they do.
After detecting their 1300 number doesn`t work I rang their 08 number and the lady that answered the phone set me straight. She described the removal of the time block by sliding a stanley knife blade under the the plastic cover and levering the unit out. She also sent me and email with two pictures on how to remove the unit. The battery in the unit is an odd size so have had to order. If anyone partakes in replacing battery in one of these units be very careful when handling the unit as instead of having one complete unit i ended up with three pieces, circuit board, timer, and small piece of foam separating timer from circuit board. Am happy to say all went back to one piece and replaced in top of lid. It seems a bit silly not having the battery replacement instructions in the book that comes with the unit. Thanks
Thank you any chance I could see pictures plz
Our blue LED light started flashing this morning. Any ideas??
Ours is flashing too! Will be pulling the manual out of the box tomorrow to see if that says anything...
We have the same problem. did you get a resolution?
Mine is the same did anyone answer this
The blue flashing LED light meants there's a problem. You might find it has stopped cooling the water. Mine has been doing this for 3 months, and I only just today bothered to do something about it. The unit is still within the extended warranty period so I just took it back to where I bought it and they swapped it on the spot for a new one.
As a qualified electrical engineer, I was safe to open mine up, and found the switch mode power supply (like the "brick" that powers a laptop, but internally fitted) had failed. It had failed in a way that the voltage kept switching itself on and off every second or so, giving rise to the flashing effect. Not an easy repair - there are safety implications in doing this, and a replacement
for the original 9VDC/3A supply may be hard to find. DO NOT TRY USING ONE FROM AN OLD LAPTOP. The filtered unchilled water is perfectly safe to use if the mains plug is pulled out. Definitely a repair under guarantee if not (like mine!) expired. :(
I just bought the cooler yesterday it was perfectly working. However, today the LED light is not on and its not cooling the water. Can someone please help?
Hmmm, not sure, I tried ours as a cooler for a half day only to see just how cold it got, sales person said they only lightly chill the water and he didn't lie. (Medically this is the 2nd choice, room temp is best for the body, zero shock on the kidneys). We only use ours as a filter.
But if you need / want the chiller function, take it back.
