Never tried it on a Karcher. If I was going to try I would do a bit of trial and error. I would start with 100% water in the detergent tank. I would slowly increase the detergent concentration till I achieved the same result as with the karcher detergent. I'm guessing the pump for the detergent isn't strong so the detergent mix shouldn't be too viscous.

You would be better to get a spray lance ($20 from bunnings) and get some Snow Foam concentrate (just google it). That will give you a professional clean. If you car is not that dirty, you could just hose off the foam and dry it. No need to use sponges etc etc.

Yes it will, mix it 50ml to 500ml in your high pressure spray gun (can be had from ebay for around $40). Foam last about 2-4 mins.
