Does anyone else have trouble with the harness? I’ve borrowed this pram from a friend for a trip tomorrow and the harness seems far too small for my 8 week old. I’ve taken the shoulder straps to the top setting and loosened them completely. The bottom buckle part of the harness doesn’t seem to be adjustable. And I can barely do it up on my baby. The side straps though have heaps of room. I feel like I must be making some silly mistake with it. Any ideas?

I have older babyzen yoyo model from 2015. Can i buy new pack 0+ for this stroller? will it work with it?

Hi everyone, I read some reviews where people said babyzen yoyo is not breathable and gets very hot above 20 degrees and unusable above 30, anyone else in agreement on this? I am concerned now putting my newborn in this in Australian summer when it is frequently above 30 degrees! I do remove the fleece foot muff but is it still going to be too hot? Also on a similar note I want some extra UV protection for my LO while in the nest to fully cover legs etc. Online the parasol attachment is only shown on the 6+ stroller, is it compatible with newborn format or what does everyone else use for extra UV protection, a generic UV cover that fits most strollers?? Thanks!

It is not too hot, we live in Western Australia and it gets to over 40 degrees often throughout summer. I do recommend a sun cover (they're available through Ali express, or your local baby shop) Definitely helps for long walks... but the hotness?? I'm not sure where or whom told you that- but all kids get hot- so do we sitting in a seat... a wool liner helps - I personally wouldn't put a newborn in the yoyo unless you have the bassinet as it doesn't lie flat. But don't stress about the heat. Nappies and singlet will do x

Thank you very much for the reply, this has put my mind at ease, I am in WA also so this helps a lot! I also have the bassinet for newborn, I will look online for the sun cover, thanks again!

Hi all just wondering how newborns go in the babynest with the harness? I imagine you can't swaddle them and harness them at the same time?

No you cannot swaddle them. Its pretty cosy in there though. My baby had no troubles sleeping in it once we got moving.

My 8 week old baby is large and quite long (at 6 weeks he was 6kg) and we are struggling to do up the newborn nest harness! What is the weight limit and would it be possible to transition him to the 6+ stroller (with the back reclined) even though he is nowhere near 6 months old yet?

Hi Tara, Im not sure about the weight limits on the nest (maybe about 8kg?) but the 6+ forward facing yoyo would probably be too hard for your 8 week old bub. It is about a 45degree angle and the wide seat, fabric harness and slippery material dont create enough support. He will tilt and slip to the side. Also because it doesnt have great suspension (my old model didnt anyway) that will compound the problem of him sliding about. My baby is 6.5mths and he is only really comfortable in the 6+ yoyo now.

Interesting about the harness though? Do you mean the straps cannot be adjusted to be longer? Or do you mean they are positioned lower than his shoulders? Our issue was that at 4.5mths at 7.5kg/65cm he was too long and his feet were at the very end.

Thank you - that is really helpful to know. We have realised that the harnesses were short because of the pram liner we'd placed under the bub - having removed that, the harnesses still appear to have plenty of give (though 64cm long - at 9 weeks - his length is another issue altogether).

How did you deal with your baby's length exceeding the nest at 4.5 months?

Can I put my baby on the stomach in the newborn kit of the yoyo stroller?

MummaMilli
MummaMilli

Oh I'm sorry but no not really. It has a harness that you need to buckle your baby into, it doesnt have sides like a regular bassinet, it is more like a lay flat stroller. There is fabric on the sides which fold up and clip onto the frame and the hood at the head end but nothing at the feet end. If you remove the foot muff then there is nothing at the base to stop baby sliding out If it isnt buckled in. Perhaps google some images of the babyzen nest to see.

Hi, will this pram tip if you put a baby bag on the handle?

AnnieM

They make a bag for the baby zen yoyo designed to go on the handle so I think it would be fine but I have never needed to do that so can't say from personal experience.

Its a very light stroller. I put the baby bag in the basket. Its alright for a small bag not for a big bag. The basket is quite small but the mechanism was made for it to fold smaller. Hope this helps.

My nappy bag doesn't fit in the basket so I have some clips and attach it to the handle. It doesn't tip especially with bub in and she is only 3.5 months. The Yoyo is nicely balanced so should be fine. But always check it out with your bag first.
