Beautyrest ComforPedic Questions & Answers
Verifiedhow long before it should be replaced?
Hi everyone, I can see a lot of mixed responses and reviews on this site, very helpful. I'm looking at BeautyRest either Lindeman 35 in a king size or the Hayman 39 in a queen size. We are having a really good think about these mattresses. They are of the comfopedic range from Harvey Norman.
Does anyone have some feedback about these? My husband has had spinal surgery a few years back, and we were looking at a firmer mattress, but the memory foam has us interested due to the apparent benefits of the material they are made from.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, if you can let me know how long you've had yours, your experiences, and what it is that you have. . .
Thanks, EloiseM
Hi Eloise, to be honest, I have no idea what the difference are between what you are looking at and the recharge bed we have but in future I wouldn't touch the Simmons brand even if it was free. I thought most reviews regarding sagging were written by the overweight population, but as my review says, im 80 kg and my wife is 50kg.
The 'shaping/contouring' (as customer calls it) of the bed we experience is not really a good thing since you can only sleep in that position.
But hey I have never tried the mattresses you are suggesting. Good luck and spent your money wisely
I agree with the previous comment. Simmons have messed up what was a brilliant mattress. I am so very sad that they no longer manufacture the model from just two years ago- the "Hamilton". THAT was a brilliant bed and I'd recommend it especially for someone with back pain. Why they tried to "fix something that wasn't broken" I do not know. :-(
I have Recharge/Replenish mattress and find it appalling after only using it for not even 12 months. Can feel the coils/springs and foam top is sagging. Very disappointed in it. Wake up with a sore back every day. I do believe they have problems with this mattress so am hoping they come to the party and replace it, not fix it. Don't even want the same mattress style. First time ever had a lemon in a new mattress. Heres hoping.
Thank you so much guys for your advice, it's much appreciated. I hope Lorraine that you get the resolve you are after, and Catherine, I checked out the specs for the Hamilton with the store we are purchasing from, and then tried the daydream 25, and checked some of the reviews from this, the price was half off for a king size, so we decided To give this a go. A memory foam mattress will probably give a bit, and it wasn't uncomfortable in the shop, and we made ourselves comfortable for a good hour, just to be sure. So when we get it, we wait and see. I'll be sure to update the reviews....
Can I put my new Hayman 39 Queen mattress on a normal slat bed. We brought an ensemble but like the large wooden bed we have.
I am not the person to ask. You should send an email to Simmons and get their advice. These mattresses are unique and of specialized construction. We have had ours now almost 2 months and I must say I am sleeping an extra 2-3 hours a night and with the Comforpedic pillow not snoring for the first time in many years. My wife is over the moon.
Thank you , I have just contacted Simmons and we can put the mattress on our slat bed ,maximum distance they allow for slats is 7cm ..
Hi there, can anyone recommend the best type of base to keep a comforpedic mattress as soft as possible?
Would a spring base ensemble or slats be the better option for softness & longevity?
Thanks so much!
