Billion BiPAC 7800VDOX Questions & Answers
Hi everyone, just wondering is this worth buying? I have NBN FTTN, speed, security + VPN matter. I understand basic IT. Any thoughts would be a great help

Hi. The 7800VDOX doesn't support FTTN, so it won't work with your FTTN NBN connection. When shopping for a modem / router make sure it works with NBN FTTN. Note that if you are with Telstra/Big Pond, you MUST use the Telstra/Big Pond supplied modem, as when you're on FTTN your phone service is delivered via VOIP. Telstra refuse to give you your VOIP account password (I know, I've tried), which means you can't configure a non Telstra modem for VOIP.
Not for NBN FTTN. If you still like the brand, You would like to try BiPAC 8900AX-2400 with VPN and Fibre (FTTC/FTTP/FTTH) ready, very furture proofing. For me, I'd like to try BiPAC 8900X R3 + ASUS RT-AC87U in the furture, not all-in-one solution anymore.
