Can you blend/mill ingredients without adding water, such as nuts and dates to make energy balls?
Hello Kristine. Great question! The NutriBoost is versatile enough that you can blend/mill dry ingredients including nuts and dates. Aside from just smoothies, the NutriBoost can create delicious dips and sauces, mill flour, grind coffee and dice produce. Hope this helps! The Vitality 4 Life Team
Will this blender handle ice and frozen fruit to create? And is it able to create a thickshake like texture?
No problem - noisy as all hell tho. :) I does blend the ice right down but I do advise to put a bit of liquid in because: A) it softens the noise B) smoother result C) doesn't knock the blades as much.
Hi Shashelia, Thank you for your question and yes we would advise the same as Davide9668 to add a little liquid to help the process along but will be a thickshake like result when done. Hope this helps but you can always contact us on 1800 802 924 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm NSW time if you need any further clarification or email via support@vitality4life.com if you need anything. Thanks from the BioChef Team
Can you blend hard vegetables?
Hi Lou, we have not tried them out yet., like carrots, beetroot etc. but I did put some Almonds in my smoothy the other day and it blended quite well. I think those hard vegetable would blunt the blades fairly quickly and I would think there will be some smallish pieces left too, I use a juicer for those vegies.
Hi Lou, thank you for your inquiry. It is the recommendation that liquid is added for blending, not doing so may cause damage to the blade assembly. To ensure longevity of your product you certainly can blend theses vegetables though adding some water or stock will definitely ensure the best result. :)
Does it blend frozen fruit with no liquid added for a quick sorbet ?
Probably - I haven't tried a sorbet, but I'm sure it has the power to handle it. I do frozen fruit as part of a smoothie all the time.
Hi Lucie, Thank you for your question. The Nurtiboost can process frozen fruit to make a sorbet, however because this type blender needs liquid for best results we would recommend partially thawing the ingredients first.
Kind Regards,
Vitality 4 Life
