Does this product (or any other your manufacture) work for ducks?? The last few seasons has seen a growing number using my pool as their personal outhouse!
I am not familiar with the larger birds .. I have just st noticed one swollow has returned but I am still happy with no little pests for 15 months or so
Hi DD, we have no reason to believe the Bird Gel has ever worked against Ducks. Even if it did work, im sure it wouldnt work for the bird problem you have. We do have a method to repel ducks from pools but this is best discussed one on one.

Does this work on Fox?

Hi Vasu
The Bird Gel is currently unavailable, haven't used it on a Fox before and don't see it as a solution for that animal.

can i spray this onto a apricot fruit tree? will it work? Got a bumper crop and i will not be able to net it the tree is so big. thanks
The bird gel is made from an industrial plasticiser called polybutene. It will be impossible to remove the gel once it is on the tree or fruit. Maybe try bird reflective tape if you can't net the tree.
I don't think so, as this is a gel that you apply with a beading gun on to beams. It is very tacky and this prevents birds settling or roosting. You certainly cannot spray it and I would imagine it is not suitable for trees and fruit. Please contact the agent or manufacture.
Unlike the common polybutene products, the Bird Gel is made from beef fat and vegetable oils. However no type of bird gel is suitable for your application, they dont spray on and are used to defend structures rather than trees. Depending on what bird species you have the holographic tape or the Eagle Kite would best suit, see them on our website

Hi Bird Gard, I've tried to get bird repellent gel from numerous sources including Bird Gard. For some reason almost everyone is not selling it anymore. Is there a reason for this? I find it difficult to believe its so popular that nobody can make enough of it.
Does anyone know where I can get some. I tried to find the bigger bottles that you paint on as well.
Thanks,
Tommy

Bird Gard is who you want to talk but it looks like it is is out of stock.
Does this gel work for White Cockatoos on fences?
Probably not on a timber fences as it would soak up the gel. Should work on metal fences (eg. Colorbond) provided there is sufficient flat area to apply the gel onto (ie. won't work on wire fence).
Just what I needed to know. Thank you:)
Hi Here . Contact supplier and google. I was using it for sparrows and they have still flicked off. One young one died because it was covered in the stickiness :-( .

Hi, Where can i buy the Bird Guard Bird Repellent Gel in NZ please?
Cheers Aaron Roe
You can buy repellent gel in new zealand from external link . I bought my bird guard gel in Australia from external link , who I believe do ship to New Zealand. Hope this helps
I have tinted windows and find that sparrows peck at the windows constantly which is really annoying. Would the gel prevent this and where would it be best applied?
The only place the Gel would be effective in your situation is on the window sills. If this is where the birds sit to peck, then it'd be well worth trying. The Gel doesn't run or spread by itself so it'd be unlikely to get onto the actual windows - and nor would you want it to! The Gel is very effective in our situation, where we have it applied to the top of the railing of the fence surrounding our fishpond. I've not seen a bird land on the railing since we applied the Gel.

I am trying to keep starlings off our outdoor table and chairs. I noticed some of the above reviews say the gel can damage the surface and also has a strong smell. What can be done in this instance as i would not want to apply it to the chairs and table? Thank you.
The smell is noticeable for only a few days. Why not apply the gel underneath the furniture!
Hi Mick The Gel doesnt damaged surfaces, but like you say I wouldnt apply it to tables and chairs. The Gel is a sticky substance so best not apply it to any surface where people may have inadvertant contact with it and get it on their clothes or shoes and tramp it through your house. Unlike other Gels that need a solvent to remove the Bird Gard Gel can be washed off with soap/detergent and and water. One review explains that the Gel smells when kept in a small enclosed room, when used in open areas most people dont smell it for long, just like Craig has suggested. If you have a backyard verandah apply the Gel higher up on beams etc, as this more often than not will keep the birds out of that area. Alternatively you can contact our office for further advice.
Regards Bird Gard

Hi was I wondering if it actually works for magpies or little birds that look like magpies I think they are mud larks? Also does it stain as we need to apply it to bricks wood and steel?
It seems to have worked for all the birds who were landing on the deck- pink and greys, ringnecks, magpies, mud/magpie larks and the dreaded kookaburra. It doesn't seem to have stained either although we have only put it on wood so I can only vouch for that. No idea about bricks or steel. Good luck :o)
Hi, It has worked for all our little bird issues sparrows etc not sure about magpies or mudlarks though i would say they would apply. It has left a small gel like coating where we applied it so not a stain per say but you can tell there was something their and steel is fine you just wipe it off we do prior to refreshing a coat as needed due to bugs etc.
