Breville BodyZone Fresh Antibacterial Fitted BZB510MY Questions & Answers
VerifiedCan you still get replacement controllers? thanks
You would have to try and contact Breville but they did not bother to respond to my queries so "best of luck".
I would think so, you may have to contact the supplier or agent.
I too am getting the "F' symbol flashing during the night, like Meg T above. I've tried unplugging from the blanket socket (as suggested, also unplugging from the powerpoint. Makes no difference. Only had the blanket 3 weeks and ... not happy !
Yes, should have included a trouble shooting section in the manual.
What next ?
Sue
sorry I have no idea. We tried all those things too. We returned the blanket to the store.
Return it - that's what I did. I ended up buying the sunbeam sleep perfect it's like the one I used to have when I was little except has two timer settings, 75mins and 12hours. I have had it for a week and am very happy with it. (Also on sale at Myer)
I just bought one (wish I'd read the reviews first!) and the first day it wouldn't heat at all and the second day it switched off every 5 mins and flashed "F". it should be withdrawn from sale.
I have lost my instruction booklet for my BZB510MY and can't remember how to set the controls. How can I get another instruction booklet or can I get one online to download please?
Go to the Breville website and then to Contact and Support and then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will see Instruction Books. Enter the model number and click on search. If nothing comes up contact Breville and ask them to email you the instruction booklet.
Thank you. The search returned no result so I will try to contact Breville direct.
Hi Carol - please contact customer service on 1300 139 798 or askus@breville.com.au
Thanks, the Breville team
I purchased this blanket yesterday and on our first night I got what looks like a fault flashing sign on the controller. I turned the blanket off, then off and on again at the power point, only to receive the same "F" flashing sign on the controller. There is no troubleshooting on the instruction manual. Meg
Hi Meg T, I have not experienced that problem with my blanket. This may sound strange but if you haven't already done so I suggest you not only turn the blanket off at the power point but also pull the plug out of the electrical socket. It might "reboot" the blanket.
I did this with my PC when I got the Blue Screen of Death. The only way to reboot the PC was to actually remove the plug from the socket. It has happened 3 times (due to Malware I think) and 3 times it worked. You've got nothing to lose by giving it a go.. Sorry I can't suggest anything further.
A call to Breville may shed some light on the situation and failing that you might have to take the blanket back to the retailer for exchange or refund.
Hi Meg T - this is an indication that the controller is not completely plugged into the side of the blanket. Thanks, the Breville team
thank you .....
And it has started again. i did as you instructed and it is plugged in. I ran the settings on 6 for 3 hours as per the instructions but as soon as i have the settings on 1 for 6 hours it starts flashing. you do not have any troubleshoot information on your instruction book. Not impressed at all!
I bought one a couple of weeks ago that did the exact same thing. I contacted Breville Support and got told that the blanket probably had a fault and to take it back to get a replacement, which I did, and the second time I used it, it started doing the flashing thing again. Not cool.
I bought two blankets from Myer last weekend . Both have the same problem . It turns off after 10-30mins . I have tried to unplug the controller and etc . However still not working !!!! both very very annoying
I've taken mine back to Myer and they were not surprised at all and they also informed me that I was the 3rd person that week that returned the blanket. They gave me a full refund. Very happy with Myer and I won't be buying anything from Breville again.
Mine is doing the exact same thing! I also took mine back and got a full refund
Any suggestions of what blanket you'll buy next?
Found this thread after my daughter's new (purchased a week ago) Breville Bodyzone queen sized electric blanket started flashing "F" (on both controllers simultaneously). Looked up the instruction manual only to discover, like others, that there is no trouble-shooting guide (!!). Checked both controllers and they were properly plugged in. Not impressed so far...
I have mistakenly thrown away instruction manual for breville bodyzone electric blanket double. Where can I get instructions?- I have no idea how to use the boost and timer controls so blanket is not working.
Hi, you set the timer on Manual, then press the Heat button, the top body zone will flash and you use the + and - buttons to set to desired temperature. Then press the Heat button again and do the same with the bottom body zone. Then you are ready to go. Just put on Manual any time you want to use the electric blanket. The Boost button heats it up to the highest temperature and then drops it to the pre set temperature. Only needed if you have forgotten to turn on until the last minute, but it seems to heat up pretty quickly anyway. I hope this helps.
Hi Julie, I scanned my manual for you but just realised I cannot include a pdf with my answer. Not sure how you feel about providing your email address and I will send it to you or did LouisT answer your question.
let me know if you are planning to sell it Diorellar? you can email me on tj77jsy@hotmail.com
Won't be selling it.
On the manual setting, can I have it turn off sooner than 12hrs?
Manual means you turn it on and off yourself so I can't answer this question. However if you don't have much time for it to heat up just put in on boost and it heats up really quickly and then cools down the the temperature that you want. We always turn it off as soon as we get in bed.
I am interested in purchasing the Breville BodyZone Fresh Fitted Electric in Queen Size. But none of the information says whether it is single control or two separate controls, one for each person. Can you let me know?
Daniel Brown
My king sized electric blanket has two separate controls, one for each person so I imagine a queen sized bed would have two as well.
Two controls... But the control boxes r what the problem is...
Would not buy again
Hi Daniel, If you are intetested I am selling mine for $80. I received this very model BZB510MY as a bday present and have never used or opened it. Let me know if you are interested.
