Calmurid Cream Questions & Answers
Is calmurid cream still available and if so where can I buy it ?
Calscale Australian design to replace Calmurid. Urea Lactate combined. Calscale.com.au
Where can you buy the cream. We live on northern beaches manly
To the best of my knowledge it has been completely withdrawn worldwide. I understand 1 micro component of CALMURID was found to have possible slight carcinogenic characteristics, which has lead to the withdrawal. I have not really found a suitable replacement although DERMAL THERAPY Very Dry Skin CREAM is possibly 50% as good.
Calscale 3 years in the making is the best Calmurid replacement. Urea/Lactae same concentration. Australia made with approved WHO ingredients. Calscale.com.au
Where can I buy this cream? I have used it for a long time but cant find it now.
In Australia and worldwide I am certain it is discontinued and no longer made or sold anywhere. Look for other skin repair products that have at least 8%+ of urea in its make up. Nothing I have found to be as effective as CALMURID was. Sorry.
Thank you for your reply.
Try CalScale. It has replaced Calmurid. It’s great! You can get it at external link
I've been useing Calscale. It's similar to Calmurid without the carcinogenic characteristics. 10% Urea, 5% Lactic Acid. I can see a real improvement on my eczema
Now that Calmurid has been discontinued, what options do we have? I have started trying several, like imuDERM, Flexitol, Hydromol, Salicylic acid ointment, and currently Udrate, which so far have not given me the same affects as Calmurid.
It’s so hard not having this product anymore. It was a lifesaver for me. I have experimented so much and have found nothing close to it. Face theory has a glycomide cream which is 9% glycolic acid cream - that’s been the only one I could use and it’s about half as good as calmuride
Thanks Zaza87, I will try the cream. I have also been offered light therapy and was not sure if anyone has had this before and did it work?
where can i buy calmarid? If i can't, please advise what are its ingredients so i can try to find something equivalent.
Urea 100% Lactic Acid 50%
10% Urea, 5% lactic acid
I have used it on my face for 40 years - and I don't have wrinkle, that is, since my 30's. I had dry patches on my face and oily patches. Went to restock yesterday and was told it had been discontinued? Is that true?
looks like it has. I have been unable to find it
I use it on my hands for an unconventional reason. It improves my grip. I am a quadriplegic and pushing my wheelchair and picking up objects is made more difficult if my hands slip, but if I use calmuride on my hands every morning it gives me that little bit extra grip that makes all the difference, Unfortunately, I can no longer buy it.
John - I have tried a bunch of different creams to replace Calmurid since it was discontinued (even had a compound chemist make up a mixture) and they were all pretty greasy except for Plunketts Working Hands. It has that grippy texture like Calmurid did, so worth a try. It’s harder to find than some other creams but definitely available.
I cant seem to find Calmurid anymore! It was unavailable for a while and then back in again , now I cant even find it online! Help please! Lea
Where can I buy Calmurid cream?
Looks like you cant anymore

Calmurid hand cream....Is it being discontinued?
Yes. Calmurid is Discontinued.
Plus....stay from the Hand Sanitisers- the alcohol in it strips your hands.
Look for a an alcohol free hand sanitiser.

Is there anything to replace CALMURID?
Im using HEMP oil. It works really well
Is this product in stock please?
Yes, I use it regularly and it is generally in stock in several different pharmacies I’ve been to in Melbourne.
what is the difference between Calmurid & Hamilton Skin Therapy Urederm Creams? Are they interchangeable?
I know this much- Calmurid has 10 percent Urea cream & 5 percent lactic acid. Hamiltion has 10 percent Urea cream and No lactic acid. Both are interchangeable.
In answer to dlscontinued CALMURID I'll be going to my Dr for an exact compount. No idea of the cost. Anyone got any ideas, there?
now that calmuid has stopped.. wat is everyone using?
Over past few months CALMURID seems to be regularly available from various pharmacies around Melbourne.
im in the uk an cant get it anymore
Galderma told me in October they were not manufacturing Calmurid as an ingredient was a health risk (great Ive been using it daily for 50 years)Ive tried nearly everything with urea and not got any really acceptable results. Just tried Aveeno lotion, literally 2 days ago..... seems to be the best I have found so far. I hope you guys elsewhere from Europe can still get Calmurid, if not try Aveeno. I have Ichthyosis, 90% of my body since birth. If anyone has tips for new regime Im really interested.
Check out simpleskincarescience blog, f.c has done much research & has helped me on the road to healing my dehydrated skin. Seriously good reading & recommendations
Also the naked chemist has a range of skincare for that condition good luck
Yoiu can bet your bottom dollar CALMURID will be discontinued. Hence my Dr vist, and a made up compound of exactly that.
Has this product been cancelled? Deleted?

I had a call from my local pharmacy today to say that my backorder for Calmurid had arrived. I went straight down and collected it...…. heaven!!! ps my local pharmacy is a Direct Chemist Outlet here in Victoria
Yeah I found it Chemisdiscountcentre.com.au as well
Brought 20 so far to at least keep stock levels up
Calmurid has been out of stock everywhere for months now. Is it ever coming back? This is just the best cream ever.
I was speaking with Galderma yesterday and it is in the wholesalers warehouses now. Galderma tell me the wholesalers will fill all the pharmacy back orders first. Maybe ask your pharmacy to reorder it now and they should have it in stock within the next week or two. It has been a looooong five months without the best hand cream ever.
Thanks Ruby! I use it on my fave and have been trying to find a substitute but nothing is as good.
Hi Rain, I had a call from my local pharmacy today to say that my backorder for Calmurid had arrived. I went straight down and collected it...…. heaven!!! ps my local pharmacy is a Direct Chemist Outlet here in Victoria.
Find a froiendly Dr and get a compound made, thats what I'll be doing. Incidentally, I find that CALMURID is better than the Hamilton, the five percent lactic acid (which allows the skin to soften and drop away) is better.
Why can't I buy this cream in Bunbury WA?
