Hi Crown Hotels Mattress, Would the ‘Crown Towers’ mattress be considered firmer than the Crown Hotel Mattress? Also, where does the ‘Crown Villa’ mattress sit, in terms of firmness, in comparison to the 3 mattresses types (ie:Hotel, Towers & Villa)? We live in Nth Qld and on the Crown Gifts website it says free shipping to metro areas, but, contact Crown for delivery to other areas. What would be the approx cost for delivery to Nth Qld for a King Size Crown Towers ensemble?

Hi Notok, The Crown Towers tend to be softer than the Crown hotels due to their internal composition. It won't necessarily mean that the mattress is soft; it is just slightly softer in comparison.

Regarding the delivery charge, as we are the mattress's manufacturer, we are not in charge of those prices. You will need to contact Crown staff directly regarding their pricing.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I phoned Comfort Sleep today in relation to delivery to Nth Qld and they said, “they don’t deliver to Nth Qld and that you will have to arrange and pay for that yourself”. I also phoned Crown Gifts and they said, “we probably do, but, email us here at Crown Gifts and we will pass this onto Comfort Sleep and they will email you with an answer”.!! So, which one is it? As a customer it costs thousands of dollars for freight for a bed to get it to Nth Qld. Equally, I’m discovering it would seem that should anything go wrong under warranty the retailer’s & manufacturers lump the cost of sending the mattress back, to wherever it needs to go for inspection/repair/replacement, squarely upon the customers shoulders. Who in their right mind would pay for eg:$4000-$9000 for a mattress in the first instance. Then, $2000-$3000 for delivery. Then, another $2000-$3000 twice more to send back under warranty and to receive the repaired or replace mattress back!! You can see my point. That would a total spend of $10,000- $22,000. That’s not going to be feasible for most people. So, why are comfort sleep & crown gifts not making this a financially viable option for regional customers? It really is a form of discrimination, isn’t it? Why not buy a mattress locally you may ask….well, regionally living, unfortunately retail wise has a dearth of quality in household goods. Particularly, in the mattress arena. ‘Bog’ standard, poor quality & badly manufactured Sealy, Sleepmaker, AH Beard, Sleepy’s etc etc etc is all that’s on offer. As a consumer you only have to check Product Review for a million different reasons to NEVER buy from any of the ‘bog’ standard mattress brands. Anyway, now, I would like also, some clarification on quality of Crown/Comfort Sleep. It’s seems the commentary from Comfort Sleep and Crown is that “all the manufacturing is the same”. If that be the case, then why at the top end (Crown Villa $9500) & lower end (Comfort Sleep Climasense $2,400) is there such an huge price disparity. Is all that pure profit to both parties? I would really like a clear understanding of this. Because in my mine you get what you pay for. So, a Comfort Sleep Climasense $2400 cannot be possibly of the same quality as a Crown Mattress. Furthermore, if this constant mantra that “all Crown Mattresses are the same”, then again, why such a huge price disparity from $3500-$9500? Clarification on all these concerns would be much appreciated. This bed buying business is a minefield. Bring back the days where you knew what you were getting and could trust it. After 32years we still have a QS King Koil bed that’s just a firm and new looking as the day we bought it. But, now you wouldn’t touch AHBeard/King Koil for a million dollars. Appalling decline in manufacturing standard. This is depicted very sorely on Product Review. Cheers

Hi Celeste. The King Size sheets will fit the mattress although the mattress is quite deep, you may need to find sheets that accommodate this. You don't necessarily have to purchase this through Crown.

Hi Fox. Most of the mattresses at Crown Hotels are medium.

I would say medium. Our previous mattress was a Sealy Posturepedic and this is a little more plush than that but it strikes a good balance. I have had this for a couple of months and I have not noticed any additional back soreness etc due to any lack of support.

Thanks. I was tossing up between a Sealy Posturepedic Elevate Revive Medium or the Crown Hotels mattress they sell on their Crown Gifts page which everyone is reviewing here I’m pretty sure. Leaning towards the latter as not a bad word said about it.

Hi, thank you for your comment. The feel of the mattress can be very personal; however, the Crown Hotels ones are a medium mattress due to the comfort layer in the top, slightly firmer, and with excellent body contouring.
