Hi I just bought an ec685. When i press and hold the 1cup or 2 cup bottom to set the program for volume of output water, after 10 seconds the pump turns off and the output water stops. Whats the problem?

Suddenly stopped working and all three lights flashing. Cannot reset as instructed, doesn't appear to be heating steam, but cup heater top is warm.
Try descaling machine. Worked for me when lights were flashing.
Hi Hamish, Thank you for your comment. Yes, you can try a descale however if the lights continue to flash - Please call our customer service team on 1800 126 659 as this may no longer be heating . We are open 9am to 5pm AEST.

Water has starting leaking from underneath the machine, everything is fitted probably.seems to only leak when in use. Machine is quite a number of years old, and haven't had issue till recently. Descaled regularly.

I just bought it but the steam wand isn’t dispensing any water or steam. Any ideas?
Hi Ammara, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please try the following which should rectify the problem: - Ensure the steam function has been selected on the control panel. - Ensure the steam dial is fully open. - Check the milknozzle(s) are completelycleanandfree of milkdebris. (Therewillbeeither one or two removable milk nozzles depending on your machine). These should always be cleaned after each milk delivery session. - Check both o-rings are intact on the milk frother. Hi When I turn off the steam on my Dedica it still carries on It doesn’t stop straight away and also the steam not as strong as it should be . Not strong enough anymore to make frothy milk Any suggestions? Do I need to change the steam Wand?
Not sure on why it doesnt stop straight away. Steam not being strong enough you may need to do a descale
Hi Thierry, thanks for the question. Please check that the clear plastic tube is inserted all the way in. Ensure that assembly is correct. If older machine, possibly requires a replacement o-ring. Customer service can send a replacement

The following steps may assist in re—priming the jug back to the machine. This can take a bit of time but please follow the steps below:
PRIMING THE MILK JUG - Fill the milk jug with cold TAP water - Choose a hot milk function repeatedly until the jug is empty - Repeat this until 4 full milk jugs of water have been dispensed - Fill milk jug with milk - Choose a hot milk function repeatedly until the jug is empty.
Once this process that been completed your milk jug should be reprimed back to the machine and you should have no further issues with it.

The milk frother stopped working, all the video and trouble-shooting steps followed, including cleaning the milk nozzle, descaling, cleaning the boiler outlet, the froth position also put forward to the maximum position, the button of forth will only stay on about 1-2 seconds then the coffee cups button will start flashing which stopped the milk froth.

, My DeLonghi EC 685 R is flashing all three lights nón-stop and the machine does not function, what should I do now?
My 3 year old Dedica has recently stopped shutting off the steam valve after use. The steaming function is still working, but after I have turned the switch back to the 'off' position, it continues to let steam out for quite a few seconds sending a milky mess everywhere. Do I need to replace the steam valve? Or could it be another problem? The switch definitely doesn't feel the same as it used to - a bit loose or something.

Hi I have a espresso maker that was purchased brand new 11 months ago. It is not preinfusing before the shot, the issue resolves for short period after descaling (orange steam light is not active) and the reset option has not resolved the issue. I am based in Sydney Australia, please could you advise how I can seek assistance.

Ive just done a descaling, the lights are all fine/ where they should be. If i press for either one or two shots, the pump doesnt enact water. Ive tried with and without coffee and no water comes out. Sounds like its trying. Ive removed and put back water tank many times. Ive opened the steam nozzle and run it etc. But still hasnt worked? Its only 6months old? Ive also reset to factory settings in the menu. Can anyone help?

Do I have to pierce avhole in the filters
Have just purchased this machine (our second one as we have one at work and at home )and am finding the new one has an extremely tight filter holder. It requires two hands, one to hold the machine in place and the other to twist holder into place.very different from our previous one which is 5 years old. Any one else having this issue?

No it cannot be. Please do not post random videos as solutions since putting "delonghi dedica leak" in google and taking the first one does not always give you the right answer.
Delonghi machine Stops frothing milk after a few seconds looses pressure or something.
Just make sure you have the side silver lever that puts it to froth (heat milk/make cappuccino) all the way to the side, and not a fraction of an inch off its maximum position. At least I had that problem and fixed it by paying more attention to that. I also find the "heat milk" function heats the milk better, faster, and even makes some fine froth.
Have purchased Delonghi Dedica machine in January 2022 and find that the power switch on side needs to be pressed afew times before lights come on. This is intermittent as sometimes it works first time but mostly requires 2 or 3 pushed of the switch.
