Can this product be used on (female) pubic region to restore thinned out pubic hair density caused by long term waxing.
Hi Sally, Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. Our Hair Restoring range has not been formulated for use on the pubic region, so we would not be able to guarantee the effectiveness of the product on this area.
While we do not specifically recommend the product for this purpose, you may choose to try it at your own discretion. However, please take care to ensure the product is only used externally.
We hope this helps but please do let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards, The Dermal Therapy team
Hi, I have been using the shampoo and conditioner and the hair restoring too. Now for the serum it says not use heat with. Does that mean I can’t use heat all or am I able to use heat once my full head is dry or can I use heat the next day?
Hi, for maximum efficacy, we suggest not using heat when the product is applied as heat will reduce the effectiveness of the product. You can use heat once the product has dried / your hair has dried and definitely can use heat the following day. It is more an immediate action of allowing the product to sink in before going in with heat.
Is it OK to dye my hair in between using the Hair Restoring Shampoo and conditioner and the Hair restoring serum . Will it affect the colour, or the effectiveness of the serum
Hi Georgie,
The effectiveness of Hair Restoring Shampoo & Conditioner and Hair Restoring Serum does not change when used on coloured hair. The products should not strip hair dye, however additional care may be required for blonde hair.
how often should it be applied
I apply everynight. If we apply during day, we end up washing hands or using hands which can wash or wipe it off. I do it last thing at night so it stays on for good 7,8 hrs without interuption. Results are awesome.
Hi Raymond, Scalp Relief Serum can be applied as required, that is when the scalp feels itchy. We also recommend applying morning and night for relief. Scalp Relief Shampoo should be used once daily.
Hair Restoring Serum and Hair Restoring Shampoo are recommended to be used once daily as well.
That sounds like overuse to me and some level of conflict of interest on your behalf. Daily washing is only required for people with oily hair, or someone who sweats a lot. I have been using the product for nearly 4 months washing every second day, and I think that’s too much. Likewise using the serum morning and evening is too much as well. My scalp does not feel heathy and hair loss recovery or loss cessation is not evident. I am only going to use the serum over night for the next two months. This is double the period you claim results will be noticed. If I don’t have results after 6 months of use, I’ll be expecting a refund.
Hi Raymond, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Delivering efficacious products is something we pride ourselves on and we’re sorry to hear that you are not happy with the experience you’ve had so far. We would love the opportunity to talk with you directly in the hope that it will allow us to understand your personal circumstances. Could you please reach out to our Customer Service team on customerservice@dermaltherapy.com.au, so that we discuss further? Product use recommendations often depend on personal circumstances. For you, our maximum suggested use may be too often. - How often our Shampoo & Conditioner products are used can be adjusted according to an individual’s hair type. - Scalp Relief Serum is to be applied as needed, that is when the scalp feels itchy. In addition, the serum can be applied morning and night to provide extra relief for an irritated scalp. - Hair Restoring Serum is recommended to be used once daily. Hi,I have very sensitive hair,i can't use normal shampoo for my hair.so i want to know dermal therapy suitable for my hair
Hi Lyne, Our Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner and Hair Restoring Shampoo & Conditioner are both free of soap and SLS, making them gentle scalp cleanser that can be used on a daily basis. As with any topical product, we recommend performing a patch test before applying the product to a larger area of the scalp, as each individual will react differently to the product.

Did anyone find that as soon as you put on the scalp relief lotion it made your scalp extremely itchy and aggravated? I’m willing to keep using it if it helps psoriasis
Hi Meg, The response you have had with extreme itch and aggravation to the area is not what we would expect and our suggestion would be not to continue use. We'd suggestion you contact our customer service team to further discuss this if you want more advice. We do have lots of psoriasis sufferers using the product but that doesn't mean that it necessarily is right for you. We also have a shampoo which may suit your needs better.
I have been using this product for 2 weeks now with some success for my itchy flakey scalp. Should I use the shampoo daily? I have already used the entire serum bottle. I still have itching particularly at night. Is there anything more I should be doing.
Hi Susan, Thank you for taking the time to write to us. For our Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner, you may use it daily for your everyday maintenance relief. For the Scalp Relief Serum, if after 2 weeks you do not experience any improvements, we suggest consulting your healthcare professional to recommend a suitable treatment for your scalp.
I still can’t find the expire date and would like to know how to find it. ( Dermal Therapy shampoo & conditioner)
Hi Gayya, There is no expiry date printed on these products. There is a little logo with an open jar and 12m next to it. This indicates that the product should be used within 12 months of opening. Under the product, there should be a batch number printed, the products are good for 3 years from when they are produced and we have details of when each of our batches are produced. Currently all batches in circulation were produced within the last year meaning at the very least, they have a minimum of 2 years on their expiry. I hope this helps.
Great, thanks
