I checked mine that stopped working and found the on-off switch not working. Maybe a series of operations of the switch may bring your unit back to life. I removed the switch and joined the wires together - back in business.

How did you get in it to get to the off on switch

I don’t seem to be able to purchase the refills for my dispenser. Where do you suggest is the best place? Can I purchase the refills on line?

I'll tell you a much cheaper trick. Pry the lid off. You'll see a plastic clip inside on either side of the lid, cut them down. That way you can refill with your own stuff, nothing too thick though. Pop the lid back on, give it a bit of a smack down to click back on properly. Then put back in your automatic dispenser holder. There's clips on YouTube that will show you what to do. Much cheaper☺️

Grab the soap container by the narrow ends and rock it from side to side, it will come free quite easily.

I have the original older model but haven’t used it in a while due to no refills available. I recently found 1 and have installed it but it won’t dispense. I have put new batteries in and there is no sound Like it normally would when dispensing. Only a red light will blink once in a while. The sensor is clean and the nozzle the soap comes out of is not blocked. Can anyone tell me what it means or how I can get it to work? Thanks

My dispenser is going off three times every time I go to use it. Does that mean it’s on its way out?

WISEshopper

I haven't experienced this myself. Have you tried wiping over the sensor? Is there possibly soap covering it?

Chaneal J.

Yes cleaned it off I thought the same but the sensor picking up three applications seems electrical.

Having the same problem was working fine the day before but started dispensing 3 times. Did you get it fixed? If so, how?

Chaneal J.

Sorry I’ve put it out of use thinking maybe it’s a internal moisture issue will try it again in a while. Doubt they are repairable.

Re Dettol No Touch Refills can anyone tell me where they are available for purchase ?

Andrew M.

No stock anywhere in Australia, apparently. You can prise the cap off and refill with something else temporarily.

Thanks for the answer. as it's taken a while, I have found another solution. When you empty the container remove it from the unit & drill a small hole in the centre of the base. Refill with anti-bacterial product. Put a small cork into the hole. Insert filled container back into unit & keep using. You can refill as many times as you like. You don't even have to take it out of the unit. This way you do not damage the cap of the container, so you will not get leaks.

No need to drill a hole in the top just pop the top off

I have been buying these for years and never had a problem of getting the back off, this time I have tried fingers first and then a knife and no luck ?I can’t use.

Snap I’m stuck too. It the battery compartment won’t budge

Dave D.
Dave D.

There is a large silicon seal that keeps the compartment cover in place and it needs a lot of force to open it, to the point where you think you are going to break it. Don’t use any tools or knives or you will definitely break it.

Where can I buy one without paying postage in the Bankstown area I have been using them for years now I can't get one in my area.

Ann Pownall
Ann Pownall

how do you change the battery?

sotto
sotto

I have one of the original ones, so I can only describe the battery compartment for that one. It is on the bottom of the base unit. Turn the switch in the back to OFF, so the soap doesn't start leaking. Take the soap container out, turn the base unit upside down and open the flap. It should be marked with a little battery sign on the flap outside which can be opened where batteries can be replaced. I did not keep the latest model and did not even check if it had replaceable batteries or not. If your despenser is all sealed on the bottom, maybe they changed the design and it does not come with repleaceable batteries anymore.

Marie
Marie

They have the old ones you could get the battery out the new ones are impossible to get the bottom off.
