Dreamaker Washable Electric Blanket Questions & Answers
I bought a queen and a single. The queen beeps really loudly when turning it on while the single doesn’t make a noise. Why? The noise is so annoying especially when I turn it on during the night. Is there anyway of turning off the noise?
Today it start to flash a P1 I controlled the power and contact but still
My blanket gets really hot and then the letter C appears and it won't turn off unless I unplug it, what does this mean?
Where can I get instructions for my Dreamaker single electric blanket model TWK-1T4K PLEASE. I can only get the 1 to come up on the dail.
Recieved the jumbo heated throw a week ago purchased from target, only 2/3 actually has heating in it but not all heated up some spots hot others barley warm, controller then started to flash 'C' now doesn't turn on, can't find a manual
Has a flashing E Can I do anything like reset, or is is broken now? So sad to be without it. Great throw. Thanks
When it flashes “E” it’s kinda like the sign of death.. you can try to check the connection make sure it’s fully plugged in- take it out of the plug and replug in and turn it on. If that doesn’t work it’s dead. You will have to replace it.
There is nothing you can do to erase the “E” it’s stopped working.
It is a faulty product. They already recalled the remote controls. I’ve had this blanket a week and all of a sudden the power won’t turn on. The screen is black. What happend? And how do I fix this?
You'll need to get a replacement. I went through two before I realised that if you have any other blanket or underlay on top of or under this electric blanket it will short circuit and won't work again. They should put it in the instructions. Because of its sensitivity Ill never get another Dreamaker.
dreamcatcher elec blanket control with the 3 settings for heat where can i buy one
Is it necessary to plug a dreamcatcher throw directly into the wall and not an extension?
An extension cord can be used no problem. Makes no difference to the blanket function at all.
My Dreamaker electric blanket is only 2 years old. When I turn it on, the dial is showing a flashing P. What does this mean?
P stands for Power. Check the power plug into the blanket itself hasn’t worked it’s way loose. Try pushing it in. Hard. Hopefully this helps.
Does an error code P2 mean my heated throw is dead ?
I know P means Power. Check that the plug going into the blanket itself is pushed right in. Give it a hard push to ensure it's connected. This P2 Code is a very common complaint with this Brand. Ispent quite some time looking everywhere online to contact Dreamaker directly but got nowhere unfortunately. Sorry couldn't be more help.
I have same issue. I did what you said but it did not fix the error.
I paid $150 for a 500gm fleece queen dreamaker bought 2 weeks ago and it isn’t half as efficient as my old Sunbeam which I got for less than $100 3 years ago. Winter is just beginning and I have to fork out for something better to keep my feet warm. Very disappointing and dishonest advertising. Definitely won’t be a returning customer.
It's so frustrating when something like this happens! I have noticed the same with my Dreamaker electric blanket. Is it a safety feature or something. ? Takes a while to warm up too. Don't seem to make them like they used to.
I am really disappointed that the 4 level of heating isn’t warm enough , why would this be ?
The blanket I have only has three settings so maybe yours is a different model. I’m sure it’ll keep you warm and it’s not as if we paid big money for them. They do the job.
That isn’t an answer really
Are all dreamaker electric blankets fitted to tuck into mattress ?
Hi Ron. Dreamaker have a fully fitted skirt to tuck under the mattress, yes. I have one and it has this. Made of light weight nylon.
Why are my hand controls Flashing red
Try disconnecting the 240v plug from the wall for a minute (reset the electronics) then plug it back in. If no change it probably means the controller is disconnected from the blanket. Check that the plug is firmly into the blanket socket. If that doesn't work it means you have a broken wire in the blanket. Discard the blanket!!! Any abnormal operation of an electric blanket should result immediately in its disposal.
Make sure the plug that goes into the blanket itself is pushed in very firmly. If that doesn't work, as Peter has said, it's notifying you there's something not right with the wiring somewhere. You'll need a new blanket. They're not made to last any more. They used to work for many, many winters. Not any more. Lucky to get a few years out of them. More so the cheaper brands. Good luck
I have a Dreammaker T849W100DA16b Heater Throw and there is an error message of F coming up. I have unplugged and left for a day or more but the error code is still showing. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.
Hi I have a dreamaker heated blanket and E- has come up when I turn it on what can I do to fix it
Turn it off and unplug it. Then try again. Make sure there is nothing else on top the electric blanket except for the sheets and blankets/doona... and of course your body. It is very sensitive.
Hi the blanket just lays on my body when I am on the couch, I have tried everything it was only purchased in march this year
Hi Kim. Make sure the plug on the blanket is pushed right in. Take the plug out then put it back in. Push hard. If you have a blanket that is specifically made for a bed, this means the blanket has to be laid flat in order for it to function correctly. If you are putting it around your body, then it may not be working correctly for safety reasons. That is also why you may be getting the E (error)code.
As has been said, check that the plug from the blanket is pushed firmly into the controller. Nothing was said about an "E" code in the Troubleshooting section for my blanket but I assume the blanket is not working too? If it is, be cautious about continuing to try to use it until it has been checked out by a professional. I would be returning it to the place you bought it from but if it is out of warranty, it may be safer to discard than continue with a fault. If not under manufacturers warranty, don't forget the guarantees you are afforded under Australian Consumer Law around fitness for purpose and an expectation for it to last a period of time commiserate with what you paid for it.
I have been using it the same way since I got it in march and have had no trouble up until today as I have said before I have checked all connections, and all I do is sit in the recliner with the blanket laying on top of me
Who do you contact at Dreammaker to enquire what the warranty is for Dreammaker???
There's normally 12 mths warranty. The piece of paper/booklet that comes in the package usually says it. But if you have an issue with the item, contact the seller you bought it from. Fill in their form with your problem and they'll get back to within 48 hrs.
What does p2 mean on a dreamaker heated blanket
Keith from what I can gather, P means power. Just check whether the power plug into the blanket itself and the plug into the wall is connected properly. Pull them out then back in again. If that doesn’t help, contact Dream Maker directly. They’ll be happy to help.
How do I contact the service department? There is no contact in the booklet of the blanket. My blanket is displaying error messages and had stopped working in less than a month.
Throw rug has stopped working with P1 error. What does this mean?
I just started getting this issue too, would like to know what it means and what I should do.
I am also having the same problem
same has anyone got an answer
The vendor has informed me this is due to an issue with the connection. After unplugging and reconnecting several times without success, the item was replaced under warranty. Apart from that, the rug works really well.
