hi i have AM05 stuck on 88 display and not coming on. Thanks
Hello, I bought this product for my babies room and it I set the temp to anything above 20 degrees, the thermostat control does not work. The room continues to get hot and the heater does not shut off which is not ideal for a babies room. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
When my dyson AM09 is blowing hot and reaches the desired temperature it switches of ok but when the temperature drops it starts up again blows cold first for a second or two is that right
Hi Jon r, and thanks for the question. It may take a little time for the internal elements to warm up, for the effect to be noticed in the room. If you wish to discuss your machine further, feel free to reach out to our customer support team, our contact details are found here: external link
One year old dyson hot and cool so it has lost a lot of heating so it was good.
My Dyson HM04 heats just fine but will not operate if the temperature is set to 22 or lower. Is it not supposed to cool as well? I have alwys wondered.
Where can i purchase a remote control for this heater
Just use the app.

My AM04 remote works to turn down to cool, but won’t work to raise the heat. I can do it manually pressing the button. Any ideas?
Thanks for your question, Mary. please note your machine is a legacy model and servicing and spare parts are no longer available. We'd suggest replacing the battery in the remote firstly and see if it helps. If that doesn't resolve it feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team to discuss your options, our contact details are listed here:

I don’t appreciate that you took 3 months to give me this response. Dyson actually sells new remotes so I’m not sure why you say “parts are no longer available”. It was too expensive though so I bought one on eBay and it works perfectly.
Our dyson hot & cool fan stopped working suddenly. I plug in, try to turn on… nothing. Very sad about this.
Tried everything that I can think of. Any help?
Please visit following website.... We’re recalling all AM04 and AM05 heaters due to a potential safety issue. Out of a million heaters sold worldwide, we know of a small number that have short-circuited resulting in a small fire contained within the machine. There have been no instances of injury or property damage, but safety is our first priority.
That's why we’re recalling all machines and implementing an engineering fix in each one.
The fix is free (including postage), and we've made it as easy as possible for you. Here's what will happen: external link
The website refers to Australian customers I live in US. Is there a different site I should refer to for customers in the States?
Has the Dyson cool+hot AM05 been recalled for safe issues!!! If so and I still have one what should I do?
We recalled all AM04 and AM05 heaters manufacturered prior to March 2014 due to a potential safety issue. Out of a million heaters sold worldwide, we know of a small number that have short-circuited resulting in a small fire contained within the machine. There have been no instances of injury or property damage, but safety is our first priority. That's why we recalled all machines and implemented an engineering fix.
Machines purchased after March 2014 had this engineering fix in place at manufacture, however if your machine was purchased prior to this or you aren't sure if your machine is effected, we would kindly encourage contacting our Dyson Experts via phone or live chat. Hello I bought a Dyson AM09 hot & cool fan yesterday. Tried it on heat mode & it smells faintly of burning. Tried it several times over a 12hr period & again this morning & the slight burning smell is burning still present. The back of the blade less fan also gets incredibly hot after just a few moments of use in heat mode is this normal. The guarantee page was also missing from the Dyson user manual which leads me to think that this Dyson fan has been purchased before & returned.
I look forward to your reply
Kind regards
Fiona
The humidity here is at least 70%. Does my Dyson hot and cool reduce it?
The Dyson Hot+Cool will work as a fan or fan hater depending on which mode you are using the machine in. That being said, the machine isn't a dehumidifier and as such won't change the humidity in the room.

I have been using the heat function over the winter and it has been perfect. However, now the heat is with us, I am trying to use it at 15 degrees and lower but nothing seems to be happening. Is this a problem with the machine or am I doing something wrong. The machine says 15 degrees and is still on but there is little/no output. Please help.
When you set the temperature on your Dyson Hot+Cool, The thermostat will detect the room temperature and only operate on heat mode if the ambient temperature of the room has not reached the desired temp. For example if you set the temperature to 12 (53F) degrees and the room is already at 20 (68F) then the fan heater will not operate. If the room is at 20 (68F) degrees and you set the temperature to 25 (77) then the fan will kick in, the machine will oscillate if selected, and remain on until this temperature has been reached. When the desired temperature has been reached, the machine will go into standby, and turn back on should the temperature of the room drop.
As the Dyson Hot+Cool won't actively cool the room, for the machine to work in fan mode, please press the blue button on the remote which will override the temperature selection and put the machine into fan mode.

My Dyson AM04 was working fine as a heater in the winter, but the fan doesn’t appear to be powering. It briefly whirrs for 1 second and then stops. I’ve unscrewed it and done a bit of cleaning but the vent wasn’t badly clogged. I think it’s the fan but don’t know how to sort it out.

I think I’ve solved the problem now but thanks anyway
I have recently purchased a Dyson AM09 hot + cool and am disappointed at the noise level of the fan on heat mode. I have the fan on 1 and it is not quiet at all. There is no way I could have it on while sleeping as it’s too loud. It’s even annoying while sitting in the room reading. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to lessen the sound of the fan?
Hi Nicole, I just got a AM09 fan yesterday. It also seems quite loud on the lowest setting in the hot mode. Did you find a solution to the nose?
