My machine has a built in milk frother using stream. The milk container is removable for washing.

Hi Rae. We too had this issue occasionally and we just turned it off then back on at the power point which worked. If not it must be something else. Good luck.

Unfortunately we all seem to have had a problem with water seal. Model is discontinued. One can surmise company had huge problem.

yep do what i did and chuck it in the bin.

Water seal... that seems it should be fixable.... grrrr

OK, so here's the question de jour: Can I purchase the seals and fix the machine myself? I love this little machine and should (presumably) be able to dismantle it and replace the seal. I just need to know what seal specs to look for.

Also, is there an assembly manual somewhere for this unit?

you can phone retail outlet where you purchased it, sed if they will do anything or contact electrolux.

No was the answer I was given.

When I bought my first machine, I dropped my machine at the repair agent for the machine as it was still under warranty. After a week it was repaired, when it started to do the same out of warranty, two years on i decided t buy a new machine. It happened to me again 1 year later and so i just gave up on the brand and purchased a more expensive better machine. uses beans rather than capsules and make a better cup. Wont buy Electolux again

Yes you can simply use the mild frother, they do make chocolate sachets that are quite nice though you can purchase chocolate at the supermarket and it works well with the milk.

Yes funny enough its the only part that still works, my kids add the milk and cadbury hot choclate and use the frother on the side, but sadly I don't think I will have it long because it leaks water everywhere and does not make a good coffee anymore. Wasting pods filling up the bottom tray with water. Goodluck I'm now at the point of looking for a new machine, been intouch with electrolux and they just tried to handball me to the store, which were meant to contact me but haven't bothered. I won't name the store because the owner helped resolve the problem with my first machine, its just a pitty his staff are letting him down.

Thanks Karen & Fred C. I guess i will just add my own powdered beverage. Must say, having read the online reports here and elsewhere, I am a bit nervous about the quality of the unit...guess I am pleased I got it on sale at 84% off the RRP.

Check all the moving parts, make sure they don't jam each other

not sure I have had 2 machines now and they have both failed, but if its not old take it to the store they will help. Electrolux just hand balled me and gave me no support, and that disappoints me because they are a great machine when they work. You can try to contact electrolux via email, good luck.

I had an online message from support but honestly, get yourself a more reputable brand.

i have the same problem but get no support to fix it. why do we have to throw things away instead of getting help toi repair gadgets these days?

I'm actually not from Electrolux so I'm afraid I can't help you there. Best you can do is ring them and hopefully it's covered under warranty. One thing I do is only use filtered water in the tank to avoid limescale build up inside. Coffee tastes better and your machine will last for years ahead.

Hi Mans, I experience the same problem with my machine. I think the water bypass is due to poor design because the seals either side of the pod don't work properly. I've learned to live with it and just empty the tray as often as needed.

I recall reading in the instructions that it's best to have a capsule inserted in the brewer when frothing to minimise the bypass when performing that action. The trouble I have, when I insert a capsule before frothing, is remembering that I've done so when frothing is complete and I sometimes inadvertently dispose of a perfectly good unused capsule because of that.

you could try Harvey Norman or Myer, as these two stores stock this model. My machine flashes blue lights only momentarily, I don't worry about it.( I don't work for Electrolux)

from memory, if you press the frother when the blue light is on then it froths the milk without heating - if you want an iced coffee or iced chocolate.

it is easy to remove , just pull back and out. yes. the motor unclips for easy cleaning of the rest

still have a problem with the milk frother - can't unclip it. Thanks for the info how remove water container.

press in the two tabs on either side of the motor simultaneously and it should unclip. if not perhaps take it to your local retailer so they can show you.
